Hockey Fans - What's Up With Sidney Crosby?

It has been too long, that is for sure.

Hell, I can barely remember who I had on my team.

I remember I had Sundin and Selanne (of course) but that's it

well I certainly won't pick Selanne with my first draft pick this time that's for sure

I have to be careful since my first round draft pick last time got into a car accident two days later.

He said himself that he is in good shape this season.. ;)

What website are we going to be doing the league in? yahoo or something?

Is he even still with his last team? I mean, are they willing to pay his salary?

No, that was Colorado and they certainely are not as they opted to pick Blake and Sakic, 1/3 of the sallary cap. Forsberg has to change and Teemu also.

Must say that I have some good information on players who will succeed this season. (I can obviously not reveal any at this point in time as you lot would rush in to pick them). I am confident that I am going to be atleast in the top three of this, a win can most likely be expected.

Who are we kidding, we should all know by now Dan will be on the phone with Gary fecking Bettman for at least a couple of hours the week before we draft getting tips on which players he should select.

Regardless, I am going to ace this season and get my title back.

I'm going to fail spectaculary this season as usual ;)

It's all about going down in style

I've heard that Mats isn't in the best of shape at this point. Know anything?

True he's been busy partying rather than playing hockey the last year.

Tell me you are joking.

If he isn't fit, I doubt the Leafs could even beat the Redcafe All Stars.

I still can't believe they lost.

What is your team by the way?

me neither

Flames are my team now, was a Winnipeg Jets fan (my dad lived there for a year between 89-90) but since they moved I switched to Calgary (my dad lived there for a year between 96-97).

Interesting. What was he doing there?

As an aside, I wish Winnipeg would get its team back.

he's a professor of physiology at the University here, went on a sabbatical to the University of Manitoba to do research in 89 and again to Calgary 7 years later. Professors here can take a sabbatical every 7 years.

So of all the places in the world, he decided upon moving to the permafrost of Canada?

I probably would have decided upon the University of Hawaii, but that is just me ;)

hehe

can't remember exactly why he went to Canada but probably something he wanted to do or something to do with the research

he was very active in sending video tapes back home of hockey games which is why I became addicted to hockey :)

That's unfair Mathias :nono:

Permafrost doesn't kick in until 10-miles north of Winnipeg. 'sides, Kristjan's dad might have been doing work on the physiology of mosquito's - there's lots of 'em in the Peg.

Truth be told, I like those Midwestern Canucks. They are certainly better than the people of Quebec and Ontario (RedCanuck being the obvious exception ;))

How about 'The effect of being depressed and bitten by mosquito's on human physiology'?

mathiaslg said:
Is there anything else up there?
I wouldn't go anywhere near Manitoba if its up to me, so I don't know. Doubt there's much there, maybe moose :D

Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec are all nice cities. Toronto is fun as well.

Regardless, the Frenchies suck (their women literally and their men figuratively) and the people of Ontario are just boring.
