Etoo is one of the player who can choose which ever clubs he wants to go to. Henry/Etoo swap won-t happen unless he wants to come to Arsenal

So were the rest of them, RvP had a broken foot, Gallas had a thigh problem, Eboue knee problem, Rosicky had a few muscle pulls as did Freddie and Clichy did his groin or maybe it was his foot. I think the idea was probably a bit different...

It seems clear that Henry had been 'playing through' injuries for quite some time - and they were catching up with him. However, the idea (I believe) is that if Arse had really been in contention then Henry would have been risked in some of the remaining games. Instead, with the league programme basically academic, it was a great chance to let him have the rest and recovery time he needed.
 
There is no way one of them will be left on the bench so Barca might play 4-4-2, impossible. So Eto'o has a chance to leave Barca and go to... the greatest team on Earth!

Arsenal fans lost the plot a long long time again, with the recent comments about Henry it seems like they are a long way regaining it.

Holding out for Eto'o ? Barcelona aren't going to bring in Henry and ship out Eto'o. Nor does Eto'o want to leave, something he has said several times

The so called best players in this league didn't do that much better despite playing the whole season.

Mate, do you think Wenger is staying beyond next season? And do you think his reluctance to sign a new contract may be the reason behind Henry wanting to probably leave?

Wenger always leaves his contract signing late, last two times he has extended his deal I believe they have been within 6-12 months of his contract finishing. He always leaves it late but I wouldn't be suprised if Wenger is trying to get the board to back him more. When you see the likes of Man utd, West Ham and possibly Liverpool spend big it does make you wonder. For all these years we were tight to fund our stadium while Liverpool have been blowing money left right and centre, when they need a stadium and yank comes in and funds the move. Very frustrating from our point of view but what can you do eh.....

I don't know why Henry wants to leave tbh. He has been at Arsenal for a long time and performed miracles for us so I wouldn't hold it against him if he was to move. Sometimes a player just wants to experience another league and when Barca come calling not many turn them down.

Funny thing is experts like you were saying the same about Gallas coming to us and how Chelsea would NEVER let him join us. We all know how that turned out. Nobody is saying Eto'o will come, if Henry is to leave and it is possible I have no doubt that Wenger will push for a swap deal.

Ronaldo is a winger and I believe he st the record for number of goals scored in the Premiership by a midfielder. Not really a fair comparison.
 
We'll have him Jazz. Then we'll win the league, which is surely a better prospect than the mancs or Chelsea winning it. And you'll still come 4th no bother

Doubted, you'll only see Henry standing around hands-on-hip all the time as Liverpool play the long ball up and expect him to chase it down time and again.
 
Great player... deserved to go earlier imho... credit goes to him for Arses winning undefeated season...
 
There must be a MLS thread or a different Henry thread (feel weird bumping this thread but didnt want to create a new one).

Anyway, Henry scored for NY with a corner. But he actually meant it. I know some people have scored from corners before but they are normally crosses which deceive the keeper. henry saw the keeper step forward and took a shot (there were no players near the backpost and only like 2 or 3 players all at the front post where the keeper stepped towards)

Basically, im still surprised hes in the MLS. I know hes 35 but still believe he could be making an impact at a bigger team in a bigger league (no disrespect to the MLS league)
 
Beckham scored from a corner like two weeks ago. What great goalkeepers the MLS has.
