Funny I thought he was playing well when he did have the ball. I take the point that he hasn't been on it enough though.

He missed a simple pass 10 minutes ago so that's why this was bumped but fail to see everything else he's been doing. He's been fine imo.

Getting tired of this guy now.

Being 'fine' is literally the reason we're 6th. It's not good enough, needs to be doing a lot lot more as one of our main attacking players.

The more I see of him the more I'm convinced he's little more than a marginal upgrade on Lingard by which I mean that he strikes me as a player that either doesn't have the ability or mentality to be the primary creator in a team but will improve a team that is already playing well. Something of an auxiliary attacker if you will.

Hopefully we get that sort of player in the summer and Mhki strikes up a good relationship with him quickly.

And people say Mata is a luxury player. He at least provides the luxury more regularly.

He was regarded as one of the best players in BL before we bought him, I'm expecting a bit more than fine from a player of that stature. Being fine is the type of performance that have you finishing 6th in the league.

He seems to be sitting very deep. I don't know how that's going to get the best out of him.

Hell Fellaini is repeatedly ahead of him.

It amazes me how he still can't understand that when he has a player on his back that he will nick the ball from him if he doesn't protect the ball. He acts in these situations like he is playing friendly games and not EPL game.

Flattering to deceive once again, Sunderland have been utter crap and leaving loads of space for us to play into but he keeps losing the ball while trying to make the simplest of play.

I think he's always worth having in the team but he has consistently underwhelmed so far.

He's still a class player and it'd be silly not to have him on the pitch.

Been non existent in that half, it's a worry when he can't stamp any sort of authority against a side of Sunderlnds quality.

I think it's mentality/personality. He seems brutally passive/timid at times.

Positioning needs work. He is all over the place and it's not a compliment. Also the ball doesn't stick to his feet and find a teammate, does it? There was a moment when Romero sends an excellent pass up the top in acres of empty space and he just loses the ball. Mkhi needs a much better 2nd half

If you look at the season as a whole I think Lingard has been better. Mkhitaryan's best form has been in Europe against weak sides. In the PL he is virtually ineffective against sides that sit in. I actually think he would have been better last week if he had started against Everton as they played a bit and gave us some space.

There seems to be an element of that. Doesn't seem to talk much on the pitch either.

Isn't there this notion that he's a bit of an outcast (for a footballer) compared to his typical colleagues? Bit of an intellectual or something I heard?

Maybe he's just introverted as feck or something.

Another player I had high holes for but is turning into a big disappointment. It's doing my head in. Why are none of our players performing to a high level?

Get in ya cnut!

Just like Zlatan shows a bit of class after a poor performance.

Delighted.

Well done, hopefully this gets more out of him now.
