The best thing about him is his attitude to working hard to get fit and back into the team to prove what an asset he is. Could have easily cried and asked for a move to another team. Nope, he wants to be here, he wants to be a key man, he wants to improve and show what a player he is.

Just annoys me knowing how good we'd have been if he was playing from the start of the season.
Still can't get over this? Nobody knows for sure, but there is still huge chance his confidence would be completely destroyed, had he kept playing with like he did in City game with that injury and poisoned his whole season. Similar thing happened in his first Dortmund season under Klopp.

Anyways, great to see him seem to pick up where he left off before the injury. A great goal with huge luck from inept ref is great help too.

Commentary was perfect. He touched the stars with that one was a great line.

Exactly. He was good against Hull, then started the next game against City. and he was atrocious and was rightfully dragged off at half time.

He didnt look ready and looks much better now because of it. We were still creating chances in the games that followed but not scoring. He might have helped, but hes defo helping now where he looks at his peak in terms of condition and fitness.

Sick of hearing the hypothetical scenarios of him starting more games earlier - he didn't look good at the beginning of the year and no matter how good a player, it always takes time for players to settle at new clubs, more so in a new country with the complications of a new languages/culture.

That he's playing so well now would suggest that Mourinho deserves a lot of credit in realising that he needed time to adapt to the rigour of the PL and didn't want him to become the object of ridicule and sap his confidence by playing him when he wasn't ready. Everything we've read says that Mourinho was instrumental in his vastly improved performances and we are reaping the benefits.

He makes our offence tick, in a similar way like Carrick dryd up the midfield with Pogba ans Herrera.

He was injured.

If we had a player of the Mkhitaryan's quality on the left - and some better full backs - we'd score so many goals.

He just makes our offence tick, in the same way as Carrick makes our midfield tick. Brilliant player

Just wait until martial gets back in form  Hes shown signs and his sub appearance today wad very good. Valencia is class on the right so its really just waiting to get top attacking fullbacks (though blind played the role really well today)

His slow dribbling in confined spaces isnt exceptional, its probably just ok.
But dribbling whilst sprinting on a counter attack is where hes truly amongst the best in the game.
Thats his bread and butter.

Hmm that's interesting. You mean when the ball is stationary/with little movement (interestingly what Hazard is brilliant at)?

I remember another poster saying the same back a couple weeks ago, and he got ridiculed as being another "Mad Winger" but I agree. Zlatan might be scoring the goals, but Mkhitaryan creates so many chances and will take us to another level. He'll have a large say as to whether or not we finish Top 4.
Hahaha yeah that was me.
I didnt even know what he meant by labelling me ".... another Mad Winger" until I googled it.

If we played him every game from the start of season, I bet we would be at least 5 points higher in table
At the risk of annoying more people, I feel pretty sure this would be the case.

And officially, the only change Jose is responsible for is getting Mkhi into the weight room to add some muscle (a reported 4kg increase) to his frame.
Its been a positive move as he's obviously stronger on the ball and now rarely loses possession, whilst still maintaining his speed and endurance that he was known for. So a thumbs up to Jose for that.

But, I still feel that he could and should have played many more games regardless of his weight. I say this because the players chosen ahead of him game after game weren't giving us much.
An underweight and perhaps inconsistant Mkhi would still have given us a few moments of brilliance to affect a game, not to mention a few assists.

He makes the team move quicker and seem more fluid . everything seems to run smoother with him on the pitch and we look dangerous . I was at the game today and as soon as he came on United looked a different team.Love the Lad.

Yeah thats what I mean.
In Dortmund, Kagawa was the player most capable of holding the ball, stopping, starting and tricking an opponent in the penalty area. Here at United theres Mata, Zlatan, Rooney and a few others that are more likely to beat an opponent from a standing start with little room to move.

His goal today reminded me of Litmanen, so classy.

When last has Rooney beat a player....and from a standing start?
Mata isn't known for that either.

Pogba, Ibra, Martial and Mikki are the players who I think are most capable of doing that

The much-maligned-on-the-caf Paul Merson in the summer:
“Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be an absolute star for United as well. He will get in the team soon and when he does, he’ll rip it up. He is different gravy.”

I remember when he was linked to Arsenal. There were reports that it was a done deal too. I'm glad we got him.

Same for me, who knows he could have had a serious injury or whatever in those first games... I'll never understand how people are so sure about things that are basically impossible to be sure of.

Even though we were winning and Sunderland were probably running out of gas, he seemed to change the game for the better when he came on.
So glad he's playing now and making a massive impact.

I couldn't understand why the commentators were creaming themselves. "it's a diving header FFS. They're not that uncommon". Then I saw the replay

Lol same here! Never occurred to me that it could be anything else. How it occurred to him to try it I don't know. A goal worthy of a new chant for him. Any ideas lads?

I don't think I've been happier about being wrong about something than I have about my rating of Mkhi. Ever. And I've been wrong about a lot! I'm really loving watching this guy play football.

I know that goals getting (deservedly) a lot of love but I want to share the love for his scooped ball to Martial a minute or two before the goal, too. T'was absolutely delicious! Regarding the goal, we could've had no complaints about it being disallowed but I'm so glad it wasn't as it was just amazing.

As others have said, I do get Kaká vibes from Mkhi as well.

So much more directness and speed about us when he's on. Guy is just world class. I can't believe how early he was written off.

Needs to start now.

His very own scorpion kick. Premier League goal of the season contender perhaps?

I have my doubt since FA will be the laughing stock for their protected lion in the zoo, everytime this goal is replayed. Shame really, insane finish.
