With injuries, facing Arse and Spurs away, not getting pens and just bad luck?

Performances haven't been much to write home about but have we deserved to lose 2 games?

Zero points from two is definitely harsh. We'd have been good value for a point today, and arguably at Spurs, too.

We didn't deserve to win either game. Spurs we missed a couple of sitters at least. Today we were second best all over the pitch. The worst part is, we don't seem to have improved at all since last season. Maybe even regressed a bit.

You make your own luck, we can't win against the top 6 and our away form is shit

After a certain point it stops being a matter of luck

We have been unlucky. Very little in today’s game despite our injuries.

We didn't even look anyway cohesive for all of that game. Fecking dire.

Yeah we have. Good first half against spurs and our lack of fitness and sharpness killed us. Arsenal are just a better team than us right now and we are away but we’ve been right in it. A draw would have been fair. We will be fine. No doubt it’ll be 2 weeks of crying on here now.

Played really well today away from home and we were so close to winning.

can’t complain at that. Can’t wait for after the international break.

Nope. Spending feck all is not unlucky. Everybody knew we needed to sign a CB but we didnt. Everyone knew we needed a CM but we didnt do it till the last day. Everyone knew we need 2 strikers. We are getting what we deserved.

No. We have not been unlucky. We have conceded some terrible goals. When you continually do that you will end up losing more than you win. It's pretty simple. Not everyone is going to Nottingham Forest themselves against us.

That wasn't deserved. So many spoilt crybabies in the match thread, I can't stand these people.

The offside goal looked onside to me, but we've seen before that TV doesn't always show the correct perspective. Sickening after thinking we'd won to lose that way.

You deserve what you get , bitching about luck is such a small time mentality outlook. Big characters win big games , our record in these games does not lie.

When you end up defending so deep and keep giving ball back to opposition there’s no luck involved.

Yes we have. Hope this drives the team on.

That was never a 3-1 game. But the mentality after the VAR call was telling.

They lost their heads in the basics and folded.

Unlucky that we're not playing better football, maybe?

Second best in both games. Got exactly what we deserved, points wise.

Yes and no, we were good value for a win today but we should have lost to Wolves convincingly a few weeks back. Spurs and Forest were fair results.

You make your own luck and we've not played well enough to get the rub of the green but Christ the injuries are hard to take.

This game - absolutely. A dubious offside away from actually winning the game.

Fine margins today, pen could have been given, offside is incredibly tight. Second half was quite good with the transitions, just lost in moments.

We deserved at least one point today and without all the injuries we would have had a great chance to get all 3 but thats football.

We are jinxed plain and simple. Some please lift the curse, someone please.

The bad luck is ending that game with Evans, Maguire and a hobbling Wan Bissaka with a RB playing LB out of position and them scoring a deflected winner whilst Evans is being held back.

With injuries sure, but you make your own luck and we didn't do enough to make ours.

Garnacho isn't unlucky to be offside, he just has to time his run better

Arsenal missed a couple sitters themselves (Saka and Havertz). Annoying, but not unlucky.

Harsh loss today. More than a good enough away performance to at least get a point.
Worst part is we didn’t even shit ourselves to lose that.

Something that will get lost amongst the furore, it's our inability to win the second balls and recycle possession that cost us multiple times last season, did today and will do so in the future unless we improve.

We just can't win the ball in those crucial moments near both boxes. That's what leads to those corners and the opponent constantly recycling possession against us. This is how Arsenal scored at the end last season and this is how they won the corner from which Rice scored today.
