I can't think of many that would get in to an all time XI of goalkeepers

Wheb we compare them to the best PL, Bundesliga and Serie A GK's there seems to be a night and day difference.

Would have agreed if you’d asked that question 30 years ago. But they’ve had a few top ones over the last 20 years.

Yes? Are you kidding?

Buffon is the only one from that list who was on a higher level, maybe. And he was a contemporary of Casillas, who was arguably just as good for a few years during his peak

Barca and PSG say no. With both putting on great showcases of football with the types of player who keep the era alive. Pedri and Vitinha both ably backed up by tini tiny cohorts running rings around the hurly burlies.

I love Pedri, but the latter two as their growth is just starting where I think FDJ is as good as he’s going to get and both will prove better than him by the time they’re done - Vitinha already is and Neves just needs a couple of seasons to prove it.

Yeah, think I can agree with that.

I guess it's also, at times, easy to forget just how good FDJ was early to mid 20's as well as he played mostly for a Barca side not quite near the peak of their powers either during the Bartomeu era. Would be curious to see how Neves develops over the next few years.

Pedri, mostly because I think he's potentially historic. I rate Vitinha above FDJ and Neves has youth on his side, but I'll take the duo with the potential Xavi-level midfielder

Yeah, I think I can agree with that take. Imagine a midfield of Rodri, Pedri & Vitinha (possibly the latter two, too similar?)....they'd have prime Pep's Barca levels of ball retention and domination!

It just takes extremely talented players to pull it off, and then they are basically the best.

I really wanted neves, I think he would have had a big impact on our team.
