Harry Redknapp to face trial on two counts of tax evasion. Milan Mandaric ditto. Story soon #thfc

Hhhmmmm, I still have flashbacks to the last time Ian Prior promised us a story.

Their attempt to have the case dropped was quashed today, the two of them and Storrie will stand trial later this year. Would be comical if they got time.

good ol' Harry? Bent?

I wonder if "I'm a facking football manager" will work with the judge.

Ordinarily, you could get a short jail sentence, community service even. But likely 'Arry will get a slap on the wrist and be ordered to pay a percentage of the tax evaded. If he just gives an early and truthful explanation then the penalty could be reduced.

Better chance of Phil from Eastenders admitting anything than 'Arry doing it.

'E was a top, top judge, but I fink 'e needs to look at the replay of 'is sentencin' there. 'E got it wrong, Jeff. I mean, it's a difficult job at the best of times an' I don't envy 'em, Jeff, I really don't, but 'e'll know 'e's made a mistake there, no two ways about it.

That juror number 4 is a special talent, there is no doubt about that. I would love to have a juror like that on my books, he could really make a difference, but I have to leave that up to the chairman.

Jury in redknapp trial sworn in after warning from judge about not being influenced by football allegiances
Would be hilarious if they are a bunch of Arsenal and West Ham fans.

I dont talk about other defendants briefs, Jeff, but we 'ave 'ad a look at 'im an' 'e knows 'is stuff. We're 'appy wiv our briefs, Jeff, an' we ain't lookin' to let any of 'em go, not a chawnce. I honestly dont know where you lot get yer stories from 'alf the time, I really dont.

Mandaric paid Redknapp `a bung or off record bonus', prescutor alleges. The two had no intention of paying tax on the money, he says.

Money `deliberately and dishonestly' paid by Mandaric and `deliberately and dishonestly' received by Redknapp, prosecutor says

Redknapp's contract as Portsmouth's Dir of football in 01 gave him 10pc of net transfer profits, that dropped to 5 pc when he became manager

Redknapp flew to Monaco opened an acocunt named after his dog Rosie to receive secret payments, prosecutors say.

When Crouch moved to Villa in '02 Redknapp made 115,000 pounds thanks to 5pc clause on player profits. Was 10pc when director of football.

What's your monaco account name then?

Mine is

She's a triffic dog, Jeff, absolute top drawer. She came to my office one day wiv 'er agent and said she wanted more money. She'd 'eard wot Fido next door was on an' 'er 'ead was turned a bit, there's no gettin' away from it. I 'ad a word wiv the chairman at the time an' we opened up an account for 'er. It was all 'unky dory an' above board, Jeff.

I wonder if Harry winds-down a window before speaking to the court?

There's a prize for anyone who can guess who these two are:

Congratulations, Mr Munich - you have won a complete set of Stoke City tea-towels.

The collar on that jacket makes Harry look like a spaniel.
