Harry Maguire | Signed

What? He's one of the only sources I trust. If he doesn't have a conclusion - he says so.
He's quality on the Italian market, not on us though.
it's not like we have made many signings since that ...

James really wasn't that big of a signing, and I remember Romano tweeting about AWB for sure.
According to him, we should have signed a bunch of defenders this summer, yet here we are, almost a week left in the transfer window and we are still talking about getting a CB.

Which British Journo do you trust more than him? Stones? Castles?
Honestly? I don't trust any journalists at this point, they are either talking BS to make clickbait articles or are fed some PR stories from the clubs that are in tight relationships with them. The whole transfer reporting has become like a reality TV show.

I believe DiMarzio, won't be surprised BBC and other top journos will be on this by tonight or tomorrow.

like whom? Give some examples. He did say a while back that we talked to Fiorentina about Milenkovic, but that's about it. How do you know that's untrue? He didn't say we sign him, just that there was contact.

There was the talk about that CB that went to Lyon, Andersen? I'd have to do some digging if you want me to provide more examples, don't remember on the top of my head because we have probably been linked to more than a 100 players.

The Andersen link was from January.

didn't hurt that is was media day at our training ground and he got to avoid every journalist there asking about his future too

It's been a media circus shambles mate, sadly the fact that Man Utd are so massive makes them media darlings and the ideal platform for click bait on non stories.

Allegedly we informed the media Harry was genuinely unwell and would not be fit enough for training, Rob Dorsett chose to report Harry missing training and put a slant on agitating for move/ deal closer blah blah blah.

I just hope one of the clubs makes a definitive statement or move to put an end to this sorry affair.

I personally feel we are very close to saying too late, for obvious reasons, we all know though, ridiculous money still talks!

It will break tomorrow between 12:00 and 14:00 - I am certainly not ITK. But I am going to the movies tomorrow - and both Pogba and Lukaku was announced while I was waiting for the Movies to start...surely that can't be a coincident.

So if it breaks around noon tomorrow, I really should start going to the Movies more often.

But can you be somewhat biased here? I mean, you support Leicester - perhaps you would rather your club keeps a player than receives a record fee (hence your feelings)? :)

did a quick search, he indeed linked us to him but that was in November when Jose was still around.

was just surprised by your claim because I don't think we've even been linked to many defenders this summer. Wan-Bissaka and Meunier at RB; Maguire, Koulibaly and Milenkovic at CB ... that's it, isn't it? Plus some Firpo links, but those all came from Spain I believe.

It's still more recent than Fred or Dalot, who I don't think Di Marzio was the first to report on. And that is what we ultimately judge on, right? If you report something before anyone else, you either get the most plaudits for being right or take the most flak for spouting BS.

Just saw the reddit journalist tiers and Di Marzio is tier 2, but only for Italian news, otherwise he is considered tier 3.

Well he said that we'd had a bid rejected, not that he was going to sign for us.

I'd trust Di Marzio if he told me the sky was green. I've been punting on his news for the last 2 years and he's put me well up. Pulled Buffon out this year when it was 12-1.

Guy has strong connections and solid info, even if it always doesn't work out.

I think this one is more or less over. I really hope we have a decent replacement for Lukaku and CM lined up as well.

I don't think Di Marzio has got much wrong regards United tbf. He linked us to Milenkovic recently but stated it was just a enquiry. Fabrizio Romano who works under him added that Milenkovic isn't high on United's priority list.

He broke the Sanchez to United story before everyone. He also reported Lampard would be replacing Sarri at Chelsea before any other journo even got a inkling of such a move.

What's the latest on Harry, did he shat himself after we made a bid that might actually get accepted by Leicester? Or what.

Over as in completed?

Over as in completed. I believe Maguire is the only CB we have been focusing on for a while now and we are tying up the loose ends as we speak.

Im more worried about our RW & CDM.

Are you sure? I don't think so.

Seems like Maguire is forcing a move by not showing up for training if Di Marzio is to be believed.

Harry looks like the type of bloke that would absolutely destroy shitters

"...misses training because he has the shits".

He's probably just caught up on the box set of Smalling & Jones' best ever moments..............

the media thing will see certain journalist and reporters banned from the clubs facilities, doubt they'd go as far to ban an entire organisation though I would love it if every club in the league banned SSN from their facilities until they remembered what the word News means.

We have never wanted to sell though if @BlabyFox is correct we are getting to the point of being completely unwilling to sell no matter the money offered where as before we had issued a we don't want to sell price

Maguire shares an agent with Rooney so I doubt Raiola would have any first hand knowledge

So he’s with Stratford then! An agent most popular with United fans!! Just noticed they also have Jimmy Garner on their books.

By the way, I just found some Leicester forum and it's hilarious how much they hate us over there. They are calling us "peasants" and a past-it club, most of them truly believe they will easily finish above us.

People mix up when he says interests vs when a deal is done. He gets few things wrong and only reports when he's certain. The few things he got wrong he's held up his hands and said my bad. He's very reliable.

If he says the club are close then Im inclined to believe that this is true.

To be honest, most club forums are like that. Despite some of the drama queens here I think generally we're quite spoiled with the quality we have on this forum, it's reasonably level-headed (most of the time).

The Pogba saga was much more enjoyable with banter from the Juventuz lads
