Well I don’t blame him for being frustrated after Rodgers essentially said we’re taking offers on him but aren’t happy and want to juice out a few more pennies.

...Maguire may be inclined into putting in a transfer request for his own sake. Leicester very much half-assing him by having one foot in and out at the same time. It’d give him certainty and get the move over with.

good. Looks like Harry was professional all summer, but decided to put on some pressure with only 10 days left. Get it done.

We are forever in talks. The whole summer we have been in talks. Talks talks talks talks.
So true.

Our transfer dealings are based now on someone's crying, someone being ill and a swap deal which rarely occurs.

I still have belief in this window, but United are always late to the party.

This has just been one long dragged out bad dream. We’re actually after maguire?

Unreal that we haven't got any deals over the line since we signed Daniel James!

Even Arsenal are going to outspend us if Ed doesn't get out his checkbook...beyond disappointing right now.

It is unreal because we signed Wan Bissaka.

Is there anywhere you can see a proper football contract, I want to see what is in it and how many pages there are that require all "these talks"

me too - I am sick and tired of this saga. other do the deal or come out and say we aren't going to

I put 20 pound on him staying at 12/5 so no doubt this deal is going to happen now.

You’re welcome!

Indeed. He can become a hugely important signing for us.

Any decent CB will be a hugely important signing for us.
Anything that keeps Jones and Rojo out of the starting lineup would be amazing at this point

Jokes aside, considering there’s literally million of pounds involved in these deals I would imagine these contracts are quite long and detailed.

There is no money in it, and a gambling operator would not risk losing their license over something so trivial

Ignoring the fact that sky and sky bet are two separate companies as well

Yes they are two separate companies now they are no longer owned by Sky. I'm sure two non-connected companies can come to an agreement that is beneficial to both, not unheard off, you know two companies having an agreement to provide services and receive a commission fee in return.

How is a gambling operator going to lose its licence by customers betting on players swapping clubs from what they see on SSN?

If there is an agreement (and me saying there was first of all was only tongue and cheek it was not fact), it would not be agreed w

Ok so two unconnected companies cannot enter into any kind of agreement?

There is no money in transfer specials during the summer (you might want to pass on your expertise to all the top betting companies who have pretty substantial markets for this purpose).

Skybet could lose their gaming licence due to punters seeing a breaking news headline on SSN and then putting a bet on Skybet, course they could.

Btw, my comment was before I knew Sky had actually sold Skybet, now they are two separate companies, maybe not.

While Skybet were a subsidiary of the whole Sky brand, they maybe so.

I think that things are moving on now:

The indications that Lukaku and Darmian have not flown to Norway
Maguire misses training
Real Madrid have offered 145 M for Pogba and Juve are in the hunt with Dybala exchange
Bruno waiting for this to happen

my perception is that we'll soon see the transfers happening.

I’m ashamed to admit this. But I follow his wife on Instagram and she ducked out of her own birthday party celebrations in Manchester early on Saturday night early as she was unwell....

Could be Harry just has caught what she has!
Why was the party in Manchester? Its on

Yep, everything is looking like the cosmos is aligning for these rumours to start taking shape.

All these talks, and just like James & AWB we will spend weeks talking, end up paying the amount demanded on day 1 of the talks

That didn't happen though? We were quoted over 70m pounds for AWB initially and ended up paying 45m upfront rising to 50m. Hate to defend Ed & the lot because they're as incompetent as they come but if we do end up signing Maguire it's highly likely that the fee will be significantly lower than what we were initially quoted from Leicester.
