I like Maguire and really don’t have an issue with his performances for us. Never thought him to be the player club/Southgate/journalists try to convince us he is.

Yeah I do watch Goldbridge and find it funny people don’t expect a United fan not to have an opinion.

What truly baffles me is when England problems is made into ours. The lad was booed by his countrymen but it’s our fault because most United fans don’t want him playing for their club. Strangely it wasn’t the United fans saying Southgate should not call him up.

Maybe the journalists calling people out should look at their own receipts from last week.

Maguire had an opportunity to rebuild his career at a more than fair wage but instead prioritised money. He plays like a janitor but gets paid like a CEO, so I don't get the worker argument, nor the mental health sympathisers.. He's a fat cat who's made his bed as far as I'm concerned.
The biggest point those concerned with his mental health miss is that his, as far as we are aware, never had these issues before. So most likely if there is any issue it’s more than likely due to the pressure and stress of being at a huge club and then not being able to cope with things not going his way.

No shame in that. But by staying he is his own torturer.

Great two minute listen about Harry Maguire and also the Maguire England myth.

No one is saying that people are unable to criticise Maguire’s performances. Of course people can. There is an obvious difference between that and making bomb threats to his home or abusing him on social media.

He’s also generally been very good for England. I don’t like his lack of pace but England’s structure hides that quite well. He has consistently outperformed Stones in big matches when they’ve played together and they are a solid international pairing.

I think he should have moved to West Ham. It would have been a great move for him. As it is, I doubt he will still be in the England team unless he forces his way back into the United team on a regular basis.

If your paying somebody a top salary in any any job, they need to deliver to that top standard. He isn’t and hasn’t delivered for over 2 seasons. He probably does have mental health issues. But in spite of that he doesn’t want to take a salary cut so if he stays he has to deliver - it’s greed that's forcing him to stay over the performance of United. That’s why people are pissed off with him and the slow decline is unbearable. If he had any personal honour he would go, but this isn’t about honour or pride. His mother can shut up too because he’s brought all this upon himself. No sympathy - the same as we would all be sacked from our jobs if we didn’t deliver

I actually watched some of his videos in full.
I find the United Stand to be a relief from the cartel of pundits and commentators who all parrot the same nonsense, protect the same players, condemn other players. Eg Remember when Pogba was getting crucified on a weekly basis for his personality and character ?

On the whole most of the shows are just United news aggregation. Then he’ll discuss it, give his opinion if credible or not. Sometimes he has journalist on like Romano or Ornstein, other times it’s just a discussion about the club eg Sancho situation.

PS: the clips that go viral are probably match watch alongs. I’ve never watched those. But by the very nature he has to be animated to keep the audience engaged.
Yeah I agree with that, although I must say that I'm more a fan of United View these days - a more collaborative environment, with more measured opinions (on the whole.)

I think I might have seen a few of their shows. You’re right more toned down and, if I’m thinking of the right channel, reminds me a bit of the Sunday Supplement in the way they speak and discuss United news or post match.

I can see the value and appeal in both.

Surely we're rivalling Chelsea with are injury list at this point?
If you consider players unavailable for selection as well, i.e Sancho and Antony then yeah, I do believe so.

Jesus. Decks truly are stacked against the manager at this point got to feel for the guy we're 5 games in for gods sake.

He is probably even behind Evans now. He will be lucky if he gets 5 starts in all competitions this year.

He does get too much abuse. Criticism is allowed but it's pretty obvious idiots online make it too personal.

And that Rory guy is a fool.

Out injured.

I don't think that's a big issue for us. Honestly an academy player would be a better choice than Manguire.

He should be behind Evans. There's no reason we should need either of those two. Don't we have an academy?

Man Utd 3:0 Crystal Palace
Was good today, feel he’s such a confidence player. This could be the redemption arc of the season.

Decent performance. He can be our Carabao specialist.

Good game today, hope there's more to come this season.

No complaints today. Solid game from Maguire, zero mistakes.

He did well today. Evans - Maguire is not a pairing I was expecting to see.

Very good and an excellent back up option which is why I wasn't bothered we didn't sell him.

Was there really much to deal with?

Ideal night for defenders really. Particularly for him under a bit of pressure, as comfortable as it will get.

Nice little home game in the League Cup where the opposition didn't particularly seem to want to be in the next round - perfect place to get a bit of his confidence back.

Looked very solid the few times he had to break a sweat defensively, and composed on the ball.

Solid game from him. Passing a bit awry at times but otherwise good.

Solid performance & that goal saving interception in the first 5 minutes was vital given how fragile we've looked when we go a goal down.

He seems to slow play down way to much when on the ball and not under much pressure whereas the other defenders seem to have a bit more tempo to their passing. I wonder if this what ETH doesn't fancy about him? He played some nice balls out to Dalot but it just reminds me of Mourinho's quote about Rooney's passing when not under pressure.

Did nothing wrong at all, which is a good step in the right direction. Can it be losing the captaincy has helped him? Early to say, but didn't worry when he was on the ball and if he can keep that up then he has a choice to make in January and there wil be teams interested.
Happy for him (and us).

Happy for him today, hope he keeps building his confidence and the fans support him.

He looked good enough to get another start on the weekend imo. Especially if lindelof can continue in the left back position and Amrabat into midfield

It has t be repeated but having a team that doesn't push too high and keep the ball in the cetranl park instead of progressing and leaving space is easy for many players with the lack of mobility like Harry, especially playing a tactically outdated team like CP. But happy for him. He doesn't deserve so much hate from our fanbase.
