A captain. I like that we are adding players that will give shit back. He shouldn’t have retaliated but he began to show that we don’t take shit.
Williams, Bruno, Wan Bissaka, all have a bit of a bite and it adds to our team

Very lucky not to be sent off, I will be livid if the decision went against us.

Almost got a pointless red, but I thought he had a very good game. Took his goal very well. Finally we provide him with decent service from set plays.

'bout time he put one in (he's not had great service for the most part of course).

Super irresponsible kicking out. It's not like he would've been particularly wound up at that stage in the game. Would've been fuming if he'd been sent.

He's had a good start to 2020, much more like the player I was hoping he'd end up being, just needed a bit of time to adapt it seems.

Finally a goal from a set piece. Thought we’d have seen a lot more by this time. Did well to comeback from Batshuayi jumping on his boot with his crotch earlier in the game .

Why would people actually think it was an intention to kick a guy on a ball?

No reason for him to do it.

MOTM. If he didn't score a goal, I would have give it to Fred, but that goal alone basically killing the game off. Good in organizing the defense as well today.

Not sure it was a red. Yes, he came inn with his stuss first, but he did also hit the ball.

Colossal performance once again from the big man. His incident did look a Red, however I'm convinced that he extended his leg thinking Michy was going to fall on top of him. Looked bad though

I thought he looked like a man amongst boys today. So many commanding headers and one of them being the goal. He is my MOTM.

Weird decision to put his leg like that, but that doesn't shrink his performance, perhaps it was first serious indication he could be a full-time captain someday... too early to say just yet, but it was delightful to see.

The composure in heading ball into the net was mint. Another goal to collection.

I really celebrated that goal with him today. It was the final piece I was missing to solidify my belief that he is our captain. It's complete now, don't leave us Harry

Not a red card.

Im glad the referee sees that.

When you fall on your back it's normal for you to have a reflex action of your knee kicking out & it did look like that.

It's a part of our natural system.

It wasn't a reflex thing at all. To my eyes, he saw Batshuayi about to fall on top of him and stuck his leg out to try and stop him.

You are fooling yourself if you truly believe that. There is no reason to pretend that he didn’t do it.
It is clear as air that he kicked out at the Chelsea player. May not be a direct red as it’s wasn’t very hard but definitely unprovoked. He should get a telling off from Solskjær and the club for this and should be more careful in the future.

Some people here making out it was like Eric's Kung Fu kick at Selhurst Park. It wasn't.

A little bit naughty, yeah, but he got away with it. Id rather our players show a bit more bite and unity. Perhaps then we can get back to being the most hated club in England again!

I felt that it was a reflex from him falling on his back and reacting quickly to the opposition falling on him. It wasn't a tackle on him and nothing that he had planned to do with any sort of intention - I felt that he did it because of the way he fell down, the angle of the pitch that he rolled on the side of the pitch approaching the side of the boards & the player was about to roll on him so he put his leg out to try and stop him rolling on to him.

Sure it was dangerous & sure it could be a red card but I don't think it was planned & I think it was a reflex of him falling down & having that move.

Me personally - if I fell on my back near the edge of the cupboards after a perfectly good tackle & stuck my leg out as a reflex as as quick intention to try something to stop falling on to me I would & no one would find that dangerous to anyones life. But if I did's son's manoeuvre?

That to me looks a bit different - Son's kick happened in the middle of the park with son just swivelling round on his bum before kicking face up at a defender almost in retaliation rather than any sort of reflex to stop someone walking on top him - because the defender had literally grabbed him at that time & son had done just that - retaliated & kicked out unnecessarily.

I thought it was a kick out on TV but looking at the replays this morning I'm not so sure. It is a natural reaction to push your feet out when you are falling backwards like that, if it was an intentional kick he would have only done it with his right leg, but he does it with both despite his left leg being nowhere near the player.

Last season this United team was lacking leadership and bite. We have signed AWm, James and Bruno, 2 of them are leaders. Leaders can't come in and demand from players.

Maguire is starting to get the respect from his peers, growing into the role and showing something we have not had from a CB in a while. Real passion.

I believe him that it was just a reaction to the player about to fall on him. Looks bad in slow motion though. I agree probably a red but I don’t think he’s deliberately kicked at him.

Yep. I think over the last few seasons we've seen the importance of 'mentality'. Somehow we'd ended up with a squad devoid of it. Not so now and it's great to see.

Excellent last night. And just shows when you have someone who can put a decent cross in, he can be dangerous.

Actually laughed a LOT watching his post match interview. Clearly squirming and he knew it was a red all day long. About time we get a decision go our way

He had that guilty look afterward. But feck it. There were games players smashed DDG's face while he was punching the ball, and nothing was given.
