Has anyone seen Harry Kane? I wonder if he is still in Maguire’s back pocket?
Absolute rock tonight! Him & Lindelöf!

Seriously, have a word with yourself. Take 30 seconds out of your day and actually read what’s been written. I’ve literally told you whatever ridiculous view you think I hold is not in fact true. And instead of actually accepting that, you’ve doubled down and called me a fool again. Talk about irony.
What are you on about? Look. I think Maguire is a good player. I think we need additions in midfield in order to better protect our back 4. I think good defenders struggle when they don’t have adequate protection. What is so hard for you to comprehend? What I read from what you wrote isn’t exactly what happened in today’s game. May be you need to take a look what you have written first.

Nope. At no point have I said or implied anything along those lines. You might have read it that way in your hurried attempts to abuse but that's not what was written. Are you not specifically implying that we should have focus more on midfield rather than an 80m centre back?
If not then I don’t see the point or the purpose of you made the post in Maguire’s thread in the first place, you are just creating confusion. There is a thread out there talking about our defense or our midfield.

Why would I make the post in Maguire's thread when it relates specifically to Maguire and the negativity he is getting from our fanbase? Really?
Seriously just stop. You clearly misread what I wrote, called me a 'fool' twice on the back of it for no reason and now don't have the grace to admit you made a mistake.
That's what Lindelöf does week in and week out but nobody noticies, or doesn't want to notice it.There was one moment when De Gea took goal kick and passed the ball to Maguire in the box, he carried the ball good 20-25 yards and then passed the ball to midfielder, that's his strength on the ball, shame he isn't doing it a lot. Very good dribbler.
I thought he had good game today.
yeh. It's a happy day, mate. His long ball was mostly off today, but I like his short-medium passes.I’ve used the same logic you’ve used with me. It’s a bit silly really isn’t it?
It's in the Maguire thread, so that should be a clue for you. Perhaps if you actually made the effort to read through the conversation thread to gain a bit of context you could've avoided being so petty. Baffling how, instead of just admitting you were wrong, you continue meandering forward in an attempt to justify yourself. I won't partake in your derailing of this thread can't further.I said you make a fool of yourself. That’s different to calling you a fool. It means you do something stupid that you should feel embarrass about it by means is your post. You need to know the difference, I didn‘t call you a fool. You called me a fool with your rhetorical question.
You mentioned nothing about Maguire in the post mate. Seriously, how people can understand what you meant? Even now I don’t even know what you are talking about and how it is even related to Maguire, all I see is that you are talking about our defense in overall, needed midfield & system.
Both me & the other poster even confused and put question mark on your post. Take a look at your post again and see how is that even related to Maguire and two people already got no clue what you were talking about.

Anyway, great win yesterday, and Maguire and Lindelof looked pretty solid throughout. Great stuff.
Having a system and an adequate midfield in place will sort a lot of it out. We still expose our defense far too often for my liking. We give teams too much space and time. You put practically any centre back into our team and they will struggle.
Has shaky moments every game and occasionally puts others in compromising position with poor passes.
Really need him to be that 80mill defensive rock.
ITS IN THE MAGUIRE THREAD.Instead of wasting your time replying to me without any clear solution, what about the next time you reply this post, you use your time to elaborate how this below quote of yours justify enough to tell me that I am wrong about your post? What’s so hard about it? I don’t see the point of keep writing about me not admitting wrong as attempt to play yourself as a victim role.
Anyway, I agree that it was great stuff yesterday especially Maguire & Lindelof which we didn’t expose our defense far too often for your liking.
Yeah you're right. We don't have that player who can link the defence and the midfield together. I think we took for granted the likes of Carrick and Scholes, who could receive the ball under pressure and somewhat mitigate the press.I think the issue is that we don't have a Jorginho or similar DLP to enable us to play out from the back. His passes to McT were not really a problem. To break the press you have to play those passes at times. The issue was that instead of just passing back to Maguire and moving to open up the play McT tried to play a more clever pass to no one.

ITS IN THE MAGUIRE THREAD.
Why would you need it elaborating? I’ve posted in the Maguire thread and you’re confused as to who the post was about? You understand how forums work, yes? I can only assume you’re WUMing now. No one could be that facetious. When I said "please elaborate" means you elaborate.
Anyway, I hope now you really like the way how our defense don't expose themselves yesterday because we didn't give the opposition players too much space and time and our centre back didn't struggle for having a team with what you called it no system & adequate midfield. Put any centre back like Jones into that team yesterday, we would have been exposed.

Yes, incredibly, the return of McTominay and the game raising of Fred meant our CBs were better protected, and other than a touch of class from DA, Spurs struggled to create anything of note. So you know, literally what I was saying...
Why do I need to elaborate? I’ve literally just told you. And no, it doesn’t imply that at all. You’ve said I’m actually a fool based on something you’ve wrongly assumed I’ve implied. And instead of holding your hands up, you’re insisting on turning this into some weird ass argument. You’ve not long ago quoted my original post in the thread. Tell me what part you find difficult to understand? Quote the bit that’s causing you all this grief? The bit where I’ve implied we should’ve spent the money on our midfield? Either you qualify the reason for your tartness or stop WUMing. No, You got it wrong, I know exactly that you were referring to Maguire. My statement was that your post was implying to we should have focus signing midfielder rather than spent 80m on Maguire which you said no it's not. That's why I asked you to please elaborate but your response was ITS IN THE MAGUIRE THREAD.

I've specifically asked for what aspect of my post you need elaborating on, for which you've replied with an elongated and, I'll be honest, barely intelligible definition of what 'elaborating means.' I'll assume you're not a native English speaker, which will go a long way to explaining why you're finding this so difficult. Why do you need to elaborate? It's simple, the answer is to clear things up of misunderstanding. If it doesn't imply that at all then why don't you elaborate?
Here I give you an example of how to elaborate. You called yourself a fool not me. What I said was you are making a fool of yourself with that post which 2 different meanings, It means you do something stupid that you should feel embarrass about it by means is your post/quote. You are just twisting it to suit your argument because you thought I called you fool.
It's not hard isn't it to elaborate to clear things up? Well, only if you want to listen. But unlike you, I'm willing to listen to your elaboration instead of reading your pointless argument that never stop. I guess, there is a reason why you have 23k messages.

The hypocrisy of accusing me of not listening and then completely ignoring the aspect of my post that would assist me in elaborating on the pretty self explanatory post I made yesterday. So, I'll ask again:
Another twisting? "But unlike you, I'm willing to listen." You're having a mare here mate. When I asked you to elaborate, I just want more detail, why my statement was wrong?
If you think it's way too long to elaborate then get straight to the point of your post. The point is to make clear things up not to keep on and on in argument that going nowhere.
Accusing you of not listening? Another twisting that you just made to suit your argument.
I have explained it to you yesterday in the post of #1924 that I didn't call you a fool but you are still insisting about it. Is that what you called "accusing you of not listening"? It's not my fault if you miss my post which I imply that even though I have explained it to you, you refused to listen to it and stick to your principle.
Another twisting? "But unlike you, I'm willing to listen." You're having a mare here mate.
No, there's no separating. Calling someone a fool or repeating I'm 'acting the fool' or some other derivative of that premise is uncalled for, against forum rules and just a little petty in all honesty. Continuing with this charade isn't doing you any favours, we can all see the mistake and you're not coming across very well. And bringing things like post quantities into the conversation as some bizarre form of insult? Come on, you should be better than that.
So I've asked you on numerous occasions on what part you wanted elaborating, what part you didn't understand in an attempt to end this car crash of a conversation and you've ignored it, yet again. Clearly you don't want to discuss this and just want to argue so I've lost my patience. Take your WUMing elsewhere and let people discuss what was a good performance from Maguire and co yesterday.

Now, I might just be some idiot from the frozen wastes, but here's my take: @ivaldo was simply saying that Maguire (and Lindelöf) struggles are primarily the result of not having enough cover from our midfield, and that until said cover is acquired, any defender will struggle for us. His point is that Maguire, Lindelöf and the whole defensive unit will look better as soon as that is sorted. My question was pretty simple & clear but you made it difficult. Why my statement was wrong? Why don't you just tell me the point of your post below. What are you implying to? I'm willing to listen mate, I'm just waiting for your answer. You might end up with 23k messages until you finally start to answer it if you keep circling this around.
Correct. Pretty simple eh?Now, I might just be some idiot from the frozen wastes, but here's my take: @ivaldo was simply saying that Maguire (and Lindelöf) struggles are primarily the result of not having enough cover from our midfield, and that until said cover is acquired, any defender will struggle for us. That's how I read it at least.
It's true, people look at each compartment but it's the entire team that counts towards the end goal. It's easiest explained to people who don't understand by referring to for example athletics. The discipline 4 * 100 meters relay. If you have 3 fantastic runners and one slug you can forget about a medal and the team in full looks bad.Correct. Pretty simple eh?

Someone just gave you a good example how to elaborate a post to make it clear, it took him one post to do it while it took you 10 posts to argue with no answer.
Not to derail the thread, but this post doesn’t need expanding on, it speaks for itself and it’s one that I agree with.Having a system and an adequate midfield in place will sort a lot of it out. When we have McTominay and Fred in the midfield we’re a bit better, but Fred and Pereira left the defence badly exposed.
That’s not unfair, but given this was your response to him:I thought Maguire was the best of the bunch of our back four in the period of Fred & Pereira in midfield, in term of individual performance I don’t think he was any bad.
The main point that he made is for the general team overall play not an individual performance, he pointed out our midfield & us not having a system and talking about how our defense were exposed not talking about the individual player performance.
Should be posted in here

You shouldn’t really be mentioning others not discussing players performances in appropriate threads. Epsecially not since his post is relevant to Maguires recent performances anyway. You are making yourself look like a fool with that post mate. Clearly you didn’t get the message that Ole has mentioned last season, we need more than one window and by means whoever we decide to sign last summer won’t solve all our problem.
That’s not unfair, but given this was your response to him:

Misunderstanding on your part aside, the midfield this season has struggled to support/shield the centre backs IMO, particularly when McTominay is injured or struggles in a match.First of all, what makes you think that his post is relevant to Maguire’s recent performance against Sheffield & Aston Villa but not relevant to his overall performance in a season so far?
He mentioned we still expose our defense TOO OFTEN for his liking due to our midfield & our system in Maguire’s thread, the first thing that come out to my mind is he’s either talking about our defense in overall so far or talking about Maguire’s performance so far.
And I took it as he was talking about Maguire’s performance so far and I wasn’t the only one who thought that way, there was a poster questioned him on the same page as when I posted my original post. I don’t think our defense has been exposed too often this season, we had the best stats in term of expected goal and Maguire has improved us a lot.
