Harry Kane

We will be back in for Josh King In the summer and he will be back up to Martial while Ole is at the wheel.
He has got good pace so we will still play the same way and he may even get on the end of crosses which would be a bonus.

He gets injured a lot but so does Sergio Aguero who always ends up as City's top scorer. The only way this could happen is if we couldn't pull off a deal for Sancho though since two huge signings in one window is absolutely not going to happen.

I think the original source for this rumour was goal.com by the way so make your own conclusions.

Zero chance that he leave Spuds and remains in the PL unless someone is willing to pay double his value. Levy will do all he can to flog him abroad. IIRC we offered a higher transfer fee for Bale but Levy wouldn't accept our offer.

With his recent injury issues which seem to keep him out the team for 6+ weeks a season, the huge transfer fee needed to get him out of spurs and then the wages he will command, it will be a gamble for anyone.

I think this is one we should avoid, which I can't really believe I am saying considering his goal returns each season, but we're not the best at keeping players fit or getting them back from injury. Too much money which could be used elsewhere to fix the squad.

I agree with you though sadly!

I thought we’d learned our lesson from the many way overpriced deals for injury prone players we’ve been stung by. Hopefully we steer clear.

Maybe I'm misreading you.. but, AWB, Maguire and Bruno + trying for Dybala, Haaland and who else under Ole, suggests we go for top talent

A Rashford-Kane-James front 3 would be stronger than Rashford-Martial-Sancho.
strongly disagree with that statement. We desperately need that balance on the right side IMO, it would really turn is into a top 3 side. For this side, Id sign Sancho over Kane everyday of the week.

It's really tempting. 90m he'd be worth it. More than that and the risk would simply be too big for the investment, if it were to go wrong. He has played a lot of football and would arrive with injury concerns. If we somehow could replace Pogba with him, it would be a great deal and still mean we could get Sancho.

Rashford-Kane-Sancho
Bruno
That's a lot of goals right there, and with great backup options there would be no need to overplay him at this club.

I'll keep saying it...

With fours years on his contract, a move to a Premier Leauge rival would be a £200m transfer.

Lets just forget about it and move on.

I'd pay 200m to see Glaston's face if this happened.

I agree with the fears about his recurring hamstring issues, and think that this is a non-starter, but Spurs have got absolutely no chance of getting near that money. If the player wants out, and Jose wants money for a rebuild (which he will) then he will go for half that at most. Soon as a player wants out it will harm your negotiating position tremendously. We will find ourselves in the same position with Pogba.

Well I'm hoping we will sign Sancho, Grealish/Maddison and Dembele. If a 4th player were to come in, then a CB or DM.

Pogba's been wanting out for the last year.

The reason we can demand more of Pogba is because he is Pogba. His commercial value is up there with the best in the world.

Pogba has 2 years on his contract and we're all laughing at anything below £100m.

Kane would have more impact than Pogba and has double the amount of time left on his contract, isn't likely to force a move and would be considerable loss for branding/PR as he's the face of Spurs.

All the power is with Levy in this one and his track record clear shows he will milk it if he has to. Maybe he'd let him go to Madrid for £120m, but if United and Chelsea wanted him, he'll want £200m.

Selling the England captain to a prem team. Levy will defo not sell.

There is no way we should spend anything over £100m on Kane really.

Not worth the hassle in my opinion. In my opinion, any 100 million+ transfer has got to be for a player younger than 25 so there's a theoretical possibility of 7-8 years of world class performances. An Mbappe or a Sancho per se.

Kane is not particularly young, not easily attainable, doesn't have a great fitness record and frankly, hardly ever is the best player in a game. No point shelling out hundreds of millions on him. In fact, he has signed himself out of a big-club move with his 6-year deal because no club would want to negotiate those numbers with Levy for a player who is no longer a worthwhile long-term option.

A Pogba for Kane swap would likely make everyone mad. I want it to happen just for the fun of it.

Could be incredible. The injuries are a concern, especially as we have our own injury crisis every year already, but there aren't many top level strikers around these days. We'd need some good backup that's prepared to be second choice (although if Kane's minutes need to be managed to control the injuries it could be more often).

He wont be sold this summer, as per usual this rumour has absolutely nothing factual behind it. Recently signed a new contract so doubt he has made such a U turn in his thought process.

Because very little has changed at Tottenham in that time?

Of course we should go after Kane if he want´s to come here. Kane,Rashford,Martial,Greenwood plus James and a RW like Sancho would make our forward line one of the best around.

Except he will cost £120m and spend three months of the season in the physio room. We’ll be immense in FIFA ‘21 though.

He was a dream signing a few years ago but I'm confident that Greenwood will be our first choice number 9 in a couple of seasons and Martial is good enough until then so we'd be stupid to spend 150 million+ on him.

Kane has these stats:
PL he has played 201 games and scored 136 goals and 24 assists
Champions league he has played 24 games and scored 20 goals and 3 assists
For England he has played 45 games and scored 32 goals

Funny how he has been able to do that while being almost half crippled as some here are stating. What about our own players like Martial,Rashford and Pogba? Footballers get injuries and IF we were to add Kane and Sancho to the forwards we have then we would have one off the best attacking units in football. So take your FIFA 21 and stuff it because Kane is plainly one of the best strikers in football like the stats show you.

A big contributor to his injury woes are spurs themselves and how they've rushed him so often. He wouldn't have that issue at another club but how much of a long term impact that's already had is a different question altogether. Unless we suspect that's the case, would pay 150mil for him every day of the week. Him and Sancho would transform us into title challengers.

In a world where Josh King is being quoted at 30M, 150M for Harry Kane in the current market dearth for strikers would be a bargain and a half.

Even a crippled Kane is still better than our current options If there's a serious chance of signing him we should take it.

Never said it hadn't just it would be a massive change of heart given the circumstances and would basically mean he wouldn't be playing in the Tottenham shirt again. I'm not saying he will never leave but it wont be the summer.

£200m is too much primarily due to his injury issues. it's probably about right if not for them. but no one in the world is paying that much for Kane.

I’m not questioning his quality, but his injury record is concerning and he will cost an absolute fortune. It can’t be denied.

Getting Kane makes sense if he was the only addition we need to a well-oiled machine.

Right now, overpaying for someone like him could set us back yet again. I'd take him for £80 million, but Levy would want at least double so it's just not happening.

The two best strikers in world football in my estimate are Kane and Aguero. You are right in that Kane has been injured often https://www.transfermarkt.com/harry-kane/verletzungen/spieler/132098 but Aguero has similar injury stats https://www.transfermarkt.com/sergio-aguero/verletzungen/spieler/26399

But despite the injury stats of these strikers they have managed to become the best strikers in the PL with Aguero at 254 goals and 72 assists in 367 games for City and Kane with 181 goals and 30 assists in 278 games for Spurs. Those stats are just astounding for both players and for me IF we would have Rashford and Martial for the LW, Kane and Greenwood for the CF and Sancho and James for the RW it would be an oustanding forward line. With a forward line like that and similar to what we had under Ferguson we should be well equipped to cover injuries plus having the option to play 2 strikers also in certain games. IF Kane would demand a move then we should do all we can to sign him as he´s in the elite class of modern strikers with Aguero and Lewandoski.

I don’t think he will leave because I don’t see anyone paying what it would take. But him signing a contract before a whole lot of things changed won’t be the reason.

Manchester City is his only possible option if he leaves Spurs. We will not pay what City want. Kane will not go to Madrid after seeing Bale and Beckham become half the players they were after moving there, and I doubt he's a priority for Zidane.

Man City might fancy boosting their attack as Aguerro is 31. City could offer Spurs the likes of Stones/Jesus/Sane to bring the price down.
