Harry Kane | "I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success."

I wouldn't go that far, no way City or Pep would play along for our sake. The sticking point is price, well maybe not the out and out price but the structure, I personally think Levy wants an out and out record fee in cash.
They would play along if it was part of the agreement.

Have Spurs fans made peace with the fact that Kane could leave this transfer window? Any replacements that they have signed or are linked with?

If Levy can get anything north of 120 then job well done. Spent wisely that could put the club back on the front foot. Kane has shown his true colours & I do not see a path back for him.

To be fair Levy is well within his rights to want 120m at least if City were happy to spend 100m on a squad option, what with Kane's contract situation.
Yep, given the price of Grealish and Lukaku, I’d say £120m-130m for Kane would be realistic.

If city buy kane, it could make a "rival" stronger as if they buy right, could get 4 really good players, dont bring up bale deal as that as we know was wasted, if they go for haaland, kane is in limbo, no other team can afford him and he goes back to spurs on current deal with 5 years to run, no big team outside England can afford him and only really utd needing him

Spurs haven't finished within 20 points of City since Pep's first year and the clubs have no historical or geographic rivalry. I don't think they really care about potentially making Tottenham stronger in the long run.

Levy has to at the very least consider accepting a bid of £130. He'd be insane not to in the current covid-affected market.

Spurs would be in a great position to rebuild, assuming he'd be willing to reinvest a large portion of that fee back into the transfer kitty.

"Swear on me pets life i didnt want to jeopardize me relationship with Spurs, Levy"

The day City blew their load on Grealish and left Kane holding his own wang is forever going to be a top10 moment of football for me. This is going to backfire for everyone

I wouldn’t be surprised if Levy decides to sell last minute and banks the £££.

Harry ain't going anywhere.

I think Haaland will stay with Dortmund until he signs for Bayern.

Levy probably wants to get the season opener against city out of the way. No doubt Kane will leave on last day of the window. For how much, who knows? £120mil plus achievable bonuses?

Only risk with that strategy is that it leaves spurs with very very little time to bring in a striker or two. If Levy was sensible he should have done what Villa did to replace Grealish, i.e. bring in 2 or 3 players knowing your not gonna find a like for like replacement.

I genuinely don’t understand this, I can’t see Bayern dealing with Raiola and Haaland strikes me as the type who would feel like he’s done Germany and time for the prem/Spain/play with Messi.

Bayern guarentee you titles and almost the last four of the CL every season. Leodowski made the move why not Haaland?

If i were Haaland, as hes so young and has time on his hands, id go to PSG and play with Messi before he retires. Plenty of time in his career to go to Madrid/Barcelona/Juventus/Bayern later on.

Completely agree with the second paragraph. Maybe he goes Bayern one day but I don’t see it as his next move. Can see him having a Zlatan style career.

PSG might just get him if theyre willing to accept his contract demands. Raiola wants to move his clients on every 3 years and I cant see Bayern agreeing to that - it's a huge reason that Utd didnt get him, and if we did we would be looking at losing him for £67m next summer as Dortmund currently are. It was part of the plan.

Raiola is a cretin but he's not daft, he will be pocketing over £70m next summer for engineering Pogba and Haalands moves. I would be surprised if Haalands next contract doesnt have either a release clause or is longer than 4 years.

Of course, that's what MR wants. A move every 2 or 3 years and his share of commission each time it happens it's a business model that works phenomenally well for him.

Back to the subject of this thread, Kane's representatives have f*cked up in this regard. He signed a long contract with no release clause and with 3 years left to run, Levy is entitled to hold him to that contract.

That’s the thing ….got a feeling he’d rather keep the dough

He could go on a strike, openly refuse to train, have a press conference and inform the media that he requests a transfer, and many other things - if he wanted to.

You think he would maintain a strike in a world cup year?

Why not? Levy would be crucified by English media for ruining country’s chances at the upcoming WC (by holding team captain hostage).
But Kane needs something he lacks - guts

If City have a net spend of 250 million on Kane and Grealish - I wonder if some of our fans think OGS should go if we aren't close to winning the league

Yup they will, because many are agenda driven, they will ignore almost every ounce of reason and blindly post Ole-Out regardless of any improvement. No doubt in my mind.

No clue why you're bitching about it in a Harry Kane transfer thread, there's like 3 different threads in the general forum

Breach of contract surely though? I’m not sure anything he does guarantees he gets the move.
