Harry Kane | Bayern Munich player

I rather not the Tottenham Syndrome where we celebrate years of "good football" with nothing to show for. But yeah, both linkups you mention were really good in all honesty.

Also, this Kane is really not thrice the player that Martial was. But Martial is pretty much useless now.

Yep but for me it's mostly the type of forward we target than anything else. I think we need someone like Kane and not an out and out #9. Rashford almost never sees the runner next to him. Greenwood suffered from that same symptom. That's fine, just let them cut in and shoot always but you need to feed them. The moment you get Osimhen and expect Rashford to play him in it all falls apart.

Rashford did fine on that part in 19/20 and 20/21, but he had Greenwood and Martial in form. I don't think he trusts his current teammated at all.

For England, he also scans more for his teammates I feel. Osimhen is no Benzema but he does bring others into play, can hold the ball and has the speed and agression to run down channels. Kane can't outpace Maguire.

what i am saying is IF money is an issue, get players for other area first and sign Kane on a free later. Man Utd probably needs another CM, LB, and GK this summer, may be even a RB.
And they need a starting striker. Wout Weghorst as a starting player is weaker than any of our midfielders, LB (uhh, what?), De Gea, and Dalot/AWB. He is the position of priority to upgrade.

Then it's an actual central midfielder who can pass, a modern GK, then the rest of it.

Just have the balls to go for it and pay the money. Why wait until he’s a year older? Varane, Casemiro, and all will be a year older too.

We’d be at least 6-10 points better off it we had Kane this season, and therefore in a title race.

£75 for 3 years is better value than £0 for 2 years. This alongside the fact he will (quite reasonably) ask for much more money as a free agent, thus leaving us with a Woodward-era contract on the books.

Still be amazed if he goes for less than £100m and yes know he only has a year left on contract

I got off this train a week or so ago not gonna lie, I switched onto the Osimhen one

Dont get me wrong would be happy with either but the age and pace Osimhen brings to the table can't be ignored and his goal scoring record at the moment is insane

Which club would pay £100 million when you can get him for 0 the following year?

That will be cheaper than Osimhen
Osimhen might be more expensive but it's better for us if we can spread the cost over a length of time rather than having to pay a flat £100m up front.

You cannot be serious.
Osimhen is probably around €150m. Napoli bought him as a young forward for 70-80m. He's turned into one of the best strikers in the world this year, is only 24, has 2 years on his contract, plays in a position where it's painfully hard to find someone competent... So yeah.

Would still prefer Osimhen at that price than Kane. Though wouldn't be upset with Kane either.

United are not 1 player away from winning the league...so Kane for 100 million is not the signing to make this summer imo.

Kane will have to push for the move if he wants it and that could end up with spurs dropping the price rather then have an unhappy player and one that will cost nothing the year after. I think 60/70m would be a fair price for both. Spurs can sign a decent replacement with that. I’d rather we signed osihmen though. I just know we’d end up regretting it when he joins someone els and rips it up for them.

Very difficult to choose between Kane and Osimhen. Both have advantages and drawbacks.

Osimhen is younger, faster, more energetic but less involved in the game, does not have the experience and it will probably take time to adjust to the PL
Kane has better technique, vast experience in the PL, would make an instant impact, can play different roles, pass, hold up the ball better but he's older, slower and sometimes injury prone.

If both are attaibable I'd say flip a coin and let Lady Luck decide who do we get.

Absolutely bang on plus could get future resale

I really hope Spurs get burned because of Levy and lose Kane on a free next year.

Hope we have moved on from this Woodward stupid money for 30 year old purchases. If Kane wants to play for United, let him fight and hand over a transfer. Anything about 30-40 is too much.
Not too fussed for him to come. Rather go for someone younger. We already will need to replace Casemiro in another couple of years (2-3) along with Eriksen, add Kane to that as well and we will have a big chunk of money going in to their replacements at mostly the same time.

Varane also

My starting point is this: forgetting the contract situation, is Kane worth £100m? The answer is obviously yes.

It doesn't really matter to me if we get shafted on the contract situation. We get a world class striker for £100m and he bangs in 20-30 goals a season for a few years, happy days. When he starts declining, our owners will sort the next new star. Simple.

Honestly, the Glazers have turned fans into accountants. feck that. Get him in and watch the good times roll.

The idea that you get this lad out of Napoli is fanciful, I think.

We need to at least go all in and see how it goes,IF he can't be got out this summer then I am fully behind a move for Kane
