I was just reading before that young Hargreaves is waiting for a big club to take him to the premiership so he can make his mark here, while i dont think we need him at the moment what about in a year or a couple of years time? While Giggs, Becks, Scholes and Seba are all youngish Keane is getting older and i feel he could do an Eric and leave unexpectedly, maybe Hargreaves is one of the few players who could go close to one day replacing Keano, even though he doesnt have the great mans passion or leadership skills wise he could be as good.

Agree with you.

He works hard, gets tackles in, good skills on the ball.

But not before he gets a decent hair cut. :)

I was never that fond of him but in the Munich Deportivo game which they incidently lost i thought he looked very decent out wide.
As a central midfielder not for us im afraid though, that is the only position were totally ok with.
Keane,
Veron,
Butt,
Scholes
Stewart.
No need whatsoever to strengthen that area.

as a player capable of playing across the whole of midfield yep, i would think he would be worth getting. From what ive seen of him he seems to have all the basic skills plus pace. His best work has been out wide though.

Well Chaddy wnats to leave so send him off and get Hargreaves, that way we have class cover for becks and could even try becks in the middle.

I don't think he'll move to the premiership unless he is going there as first choice. Why should he.

Agree, but even the Donkey is getting a game for England

I'm afraid the real world is not as simple as a computer game.

Damn

Hargreaves isnt creative, cant cross, and cant beat a player, not the type of player we need atm. A poor mans Nicky Butt. ;)

Not a huge Fan of Hargreaves, cant undertstand why he takes the freekicks for bayern as his shooting is quite woeful. He has not scored for Bayern yet despite playing in a forward role for over two years. Hardly the kind of player we need to replace giggs! Hargreaves is not dynamic enough on the ball, he's a grafter nothing else.

Absolute bollox. How often do you see him play? Never judging by your ill informed comments.

Have only seen him in Champions League, or internationals where he seems to be used as a utility player. Nevertheless, I think he has good skills and lots of hunger.

Presumeably, MunichRed has seen him week in week out in the Bundesliga, and he wasn't impressed.

Anyone who has seen him turn out regularly for Bayern care to comment?

Thanks in advance. :)

Quite often. Probably not as much as you but we get a fair amount of German football here, plus CL games and he has also been anonymous for England.

And how many games has he played for England? And were England any good during those games?

Make your mind up.

Haven't really seen much of him play, so its difficult to say for definate. But i know that Hitzfeld doesn't hold any deadwood so they must see some real talent

Quite, it stands to reason that if he is thought of highly there where they've been second only to Madrid in the last few years he must be a good player. That aside he's been selected to represent England. To me that says enough, but I've seen him and I know he's a good player, in fact only last weekend he dispelled Gazza's notion that he can't cross by providing a pinpoint cross on the run for Elber to score Bayern's fourth. I was there, I saw it. He's a good player with a great future.

I admit i havent seen that much of him playing but he seems to be well thought of and he seems to have some skills, plus he is only young!

If he came to United, he would struggle to get in the starting line up, but in an ideal world, he'd be great to have as backup. But I'm sure a player with his ability wont settle for that when he can easily get first team placings elsewhere

Hargreaves said he'd like a move to England 'sooner rather than later' I cant see him turning down a move to Utd. He'd be a regular with Scholes in CM for Eng, possibly ahead of Gerrard if he can prove his worth. He'd get to replace Keane in the long run. For us, he'd be the perfect signing. He can play across midfield or as one of the wingbacks and is very versatile indeed. He works hard and plays with lot of spirit, not unlike Roy Keane. However, Hargreaves does not yet command the respect of many other players(yet) and hence will not neccessarily be succesor to Keane as captain of Utd.

I don't think he will replace Gerrard or Nicky Butt in the England midfield. You always need a more defensive minded playerin the centre.

I agree, he has a lot to prove before he'll get a permanent england place, he'll have to settle as a sub for now

I was on the champions league site before and he said he was happy at Bayern and he's ready to pledge his future to the club, even though a few of his National team mates have tried to persuade him to move to the premier. At the moment it's strikers and another defender that we need not another midfeilder even though he is a class player and i'd love to one day see him at Old Trafford???? :)

I think hargreaves is much of a defensive player who needs another defensive midfielder to play alongside.

At the moment I seriously doubt his strength and capability to play 60 games a year in the starting line up. He looks the talent, but we'll have to wait and see over the next few years about his reliability and consistency.

Surely anyhow, we won't see a Roy Keane in Hargreaves and that means he is not my choice for Keane's replacement.

He does quite a bit of Defensive work and is better on the offensive. Hence he may workout for England in the long run.

Accuse me of being close minded but I prefare Butt over Hagreaves.

Manutd possess a magnificent midfield and there is only one player which i would buy to replace Keane ( Viera )

The only place Hagreaves can ever play at OT is as cover of Beckham and Giggs but even in this particular role i see players better than him

One name that pops inside my head is Castroman
23 year old Argentinian who plays for Lazio
