I do think he is a player who has been noted by referees and opponents, with his hairstyle and aggressive actions (not excessively aggressive in most cases), so referees will be watching out for any misdemeanor, and opponents will react to any tackle made by him.His disciplinary record last season wasn't that bad, 10 yellows in 38 games. Keane was usually around 1 in 4.
He'll figure it out he's just trying too hard to impress and needs to call down. His talent will be a bigger factor in if he makes it or not, hopefully his cards don't stop him getting minutes and showing it.
Surely this is very different when you calculate per minutes played. His disciplinary record last season wasn't that bad, 10 yellows in 38 games. Keane was usually around 1 in 4.
Indeed + the fact that Hannibal hasn't played in 38 games for United (1st team) total, never mind last seasonSurely this is very different when you calculate per minutes played.
100% this.I do think he is a player who has been noted by referees and opponents, with his hairstyle and aggressive actions (not excessively aggressive in most cases), so referees will be watching out for any misdemeanor, and opponents will react to any tackle made by him.
For me Casemiro makes many more over aggressive tackles than Hannibal, but rarely gets a yellow for his first foul.
I really believe that had Ten Hag given him a lot more game time, he would be more settled, and then less likely to try and prove that he is worthy of a first team spot.
Surely this is very different when you calculate per minutes played.
He's talking about his loan at Birmingham in which he played 41 games and got 11 yellow cards.Indeed + the fact that Hannibal hasn't played in 38 games for United (1st team) total, never mind last season
He was playing regularly for Birmingham last season, I assume the stats come from thereIndeed + the fact that Hannibal hasn't played in 38 games for United (1st team) total, never mind last season
The bolded invalidates what followed. If you had seen the game you would have seen that it was a ridiculously soft booking and in no way was he hot headed or ill disciplined. Hannibal does not have a temperament problem so much as a reputation problem like many before him. The talk around him is of him being aggressive and rash and referees step on to the pitch looking for him to do something and can't wait to get a card out at the slightest infraction. I see far worse from many players who almost never get a booking because they don't have the reputational issue to deal with.I didn’t watch the game but instantly saw he got carded within 3 minutes of coming onto the pitch.
Despite all his talents, he’s far too hot headed to be a top quality player - his ill discipline will be his downfall. You can have all the talent in the world but if you don’t have the mentality (in his case, can’t control his aggression/energy), you won’t make it.
Which wasn't last season but the season before! He's talking about his loan at Birmingham in which he played 41 games and got 11 yellow cards.
?? Hannibal was on loan at Birmingham last seasonWhich wasn't last season but the season before!
A terrible combinationHe's just one of those players. The moment a player touches him he's happy to fall down and claim a foul. But when he himself is pressuring someone on the ball he will not be calm and go in too aggressively and make a foul too easily.
That was last season, have you banged your head?Which wasn't last season but the season before!
Yeah I must have! That was last season, have you banged your head?
Seems to be a common theme with a lot of our loans over the years. I get the feeling whoever is in charge of diligencing potential loan destinations for our players isn't going to survive the new regime. Are Seville paying all his wages as that is the only reason I can think we have sent him there.
What a shocking loan if we are using this to see him actually play at a decent level!

Rightly so.Seems to be a common theme with a lot of our loans over the years. I get the feeling whoever is in charge of diligencing potential loan destinations for our players isn't going to survive the new regime.
Overrated player. Full of energy but there is not much real football in that guy. Should be sold to whoever want to pay.Another terrible loan destination for a promising player......
Absolute horse shit.Overrated player. Full of energy but there is not much real football in that guy. Should be sold to whoever want to pay.
Not true.Overrated player. Full of energy but there is not much real football in that guy. Should be sold to whoever want to pay.
That's the thing, we don't see the background stuff. There may be a reason or there may not be. If there's no real reason sooner or later his talent will shine thru. That part is undeniable. He is very talented. Has a rare combination of ability with the energy and willingness to run and defend. Not true.
Full of energy and is quite good on the ball, actually. Links up in attacks well and is always looking to move the ball forward - as the Sevilla fans seem to have already noticed.
For whatever reason, he isn't getting the chances to show that at United or Sevilla, but there's a lot more to his game than just 'can run around a lot', and if he gets his chances to start regularly somewhere then I'm sure he'll start to show it.
Great input.Absolute horse shit.
The reason is simply that he is not good enough to play. He lacks football thinking and it is all about energy. You can't go far with that. You need more. I'm pretty sure he will be out of club in the summer. Not true.

Somebody hasn’t watched him l play. Mejbri should have been playing for us when Casemiro and Mainoo weren’t fit. He would have done a much better job as a central midfielder than McTominay or Amrabat did.Great input.

I have and my opinion is based on that. You can't seriously think that Mejbri is better than McTominay or Amrabat? Guy is full of energy but nowhere near quality to play for ManUtd. He lacks pretty much everything except energy. If you mean playing instead of Amrabat because he is just a loan player, that is different thing. Otherwise no.Somebody hasn’t watched him l play. Yes, he is a lot similar in terms of playing style. He should have gone to Marseille instead.Actually kind of reminds me of Guendouzi, and not only because of the hair.
Suspected temperament issues, labelled as « dirty » player, high activity and intensity, good technical level, and initially hard to know his best position on the pitch.
I think he would be significantly better than McTominay in a midfield role. Not at goal scoring but his defensive instincts are much better. Amrabat doesn’t have the legs for the PL. He is also a much better passer and dribbler than either.I have and my opinion is based on that. You can't seriously think that Mejbri is better than McTominay or Amrabat?
