To be honest I don't really give a shit about handball.

We played magnificent defence against them and hit them on the break 10 times or something. We were 6 goals ahead at one point. Guðjón Valur and Ólafur Stefánsson really shined in this match, Ólafur was playing on sedatives :eek: ribs got bruised against the serbs.

Tough match tomorrow against Croatia. Can't wait.

Yeah, second highest scorer in the competition. After our Snorri Steinn of course =)

13-13 at halftime against the Croatians. We're really holding our own. I don't know if it will last though, we've had some problems in offense and we haven't been creating enough goals on the break.

It would be utterly fantastic though, winning the Russians and the Croatians back to back.

14-13 for the Croatians now.

We'll probably be playing for 5-6th place.

Only 1:30 minutes left, this is fecking exciting. We could squeeze a draw out of this.

Yeah, it was a great game. You played well too but Croatians have simply more top class player.
 
We were missing Alexander Peterson as well who broke his jaw yesteday :(

He's been immense for us so far, it was a big loss. Then we lost Einar Hólmgeirsson almost immediately today.

Yep. He was our replacement for Peterson so it was a bad blow for us, and for him! Received the injury after ca. 8 minutes and during halftime he was still lying on the floor behind the substitute bench. Maybe he had a concussion or something.
 
Horrible end to our tournament :/ we were simply physically exhausted. After all those injuries we simply didn't have the squad capable of holding it out.

Great win by the danes btw.
 
need better organization next time, 8 games in 11 days for the teams that make the final is way too much.. every player has been complaing about exhaustion after the tourno
 
And the system of the tournament was also weird.
