COD 4 was laggy as hell when I started playing it, might have been patched since but it had lost me by then. I really enjoyed it for a while, but it became boring.

In Halo I could play the same gametype on the same map time after time and not get bored. But that's just anecdotal.

I believe in the time period after release, H3 won more multiplayer awards than COD4 did.

Halo 3 also received many 10/10s despite having a ridiculously mediocre campaign, dont use ratings as an indication.

The matchmaking system was good I'd give you that, but the gameplay was too slow for my liking. But hey apples and oranges amirite?
 
Everyone that bought ODST should have a beta code for REACH right?

Here's a little video about Reach. I don't own an XB360, so one of you Halo likers should maybe start a thread? Beta starts on 3rd of May, so it's not that long to go.

 
I love the Halo games and have ODST. So I am looking forward to this. Erm whats a Beta code?
 
ODST was the only Halo game I have vaguely been looking forward to and it still disapointed me. Such an over-rated series the only thing that looks good in Reach are the vastly improved graphics.
 
I loved the first and second game and then it just became meh. Partly because, I think Halo is only a good time on multi-player when you are with friends, Live in general works much like that because everybody has a mic or whatever. On PS3 however you are left in peace and don't have the same amount of spastic 12 year olds screaming about "how gay you are lulz omgz are u englizh omg so gay."

I'm just surprised that none of you even bothered about the X10 even which included the announcement of the REACH Beta. You have Splinter Cell coming mid April, Alan Wake mid May, etc.
 
ODST was the first Halo game I played, enjoyed it. Got Halo 3 after but haven't really gotten into it.

And I didn't have any Beta code in my copy of the game :(

It's all on the dashboard. Cannot wait for Conviction, I think I have a thread on it somewhere, now that is a gaming series that deserves hype.
 
Halo Reach looks amazing.

Also, I have to say i've noticed this place is crawling with PS3 fanboys! Not that I take sides or anything, but you'd think one of the most popular games of this generation would have more hype around here.

Maybe it's because Halo is THE most over rated gaming series to ever exist?

And Weaste knows literaly everything about....everything!

:D Thats just your opinion though. The millions of people that play it will disagree.

For example, I think God of War, Mario and to a lesser extent Metal Gear Solid are all overrated. Metal Gear Solid 3 was excellent though, its strange, because it was only afterwards that I realised how much I liked that game, not during.
