The ending of Half-Life:Alyx certainly hinted that Valve were going to do it. The ending of the 20th anniversary documentary for HL2 had Gabe almost winking at you about the future of HL, and now the VA for G-Man is being playfully cryptic. The way Valve has done the recent anniversary documentaries for HL1 and HL2 makes me feel like somethings going on. Almost like a ‘Last Dance’ feel about it maybe. I absolutely hope so as HL1 and HL2 are my two favourite video games ever, and seeing what they have for HL3 would be exciting.
My big hope is they announce it around E3 time and say it’s releasing November this year, to keep up the tradition of the main HL games being released in November, as well as fulfilling Valve’s intended ambition with HL2 to blow you away with the demo out of nowhere and then say it’s coming out very soon.
