im debating whether or not to splash the cash on guitar hero III, id be grateful if any who has the game, or played on it, to post some feedback here so i can decide whether or not to but it.

its bloody expensive too, £70 i think
 
im in the same boat, i dont know whether to buy GH3 now, or wait till rock band, and hope the rock band guitar works on GH3 so i can just buy the stand alone disc for GH3
 
hey i have the game i used the guitar at my mates once and thought the guitar was crap i just got the game of ebay for 20 quid (bargain imo) and im using the control. once you get to hard difficulty on the control though it really DOES become hard ..

i have the game and wireless guitar

its fecking great craic and the only game i play on xbox regularly at the moment

you will not regret it

GB thanks mate, i think i might just get it at the weekend. im gunna have to trade in CoD4 and PES2008 to get it though, but i dont really play on them so who cares?

by the way, does anyone play on gears of war on Xbox, i find it so addicting

yeh, its good, im level 53 on it i think, not been on it recently.

very rarely at the moment. i have gone back to playing cod 3 at the moment. it is one of my favourite games on live. less people play it now that cod4 is out though.
 
I'm trying to play Slayer's "Reign In Blood" on medium difficulty level... It's feckin hard !!!

But it's not the most difficult song... There's one in Bonus section played by band called Dragonforce.

Very cool game but you need to train some time to play good.
 
You can play keyboard or on a pad... for some players it's better, because they can score more points. (that's what some people claim)

But keyboard simply killing that game... It's not Keyboard Hero III after all.
 
I've actually never tried Guitar Hero.

What's so great about it?

Not impossible at all. I personally can do every song but 2 (Dragonforce and Devil Went Down To Georgia, the actual song) on expert. I don't even play it that often compared to some people i know. I have the advantage of being a guitar player though, which does help when it comes to speed and fingering.

I saw a video of some 9 year old kid doing Dragonforce on expert with ease though, that's just insane. Furthest i've got is 81%, and i'm sure i would have done it by now if it didn't take me about 50 tries just to get past the intro.
 
Yeah I guess it would help being a guitar player, I could probably do the expert ones if I kept practising each section until I knew them off by heart but I haven't got the patience.

I saw someone get 100% on paint it black on youtube, I know it's not one of the harder ones but to get 100% on expert is ridiculous.

I have them on xbox360 and the GH3 guitar works on Rockband, but the Rockband guitar doesn't work on GH3. It comes up with a message on the screen that an unsupported guitar is connected. Bastards!
 
It's amazing, can't stop playing.
 
Probably my favourite game on the Xbox.

I'm cack though. Can do most on normal, some on hard and about 3 on Expert.

Hate the 2 player "battle mode" though.
 
Its a very fun game but rockband is miles ahead
though its a bit more expensive you get more for your money

A bit? It's three times more expensive, the price of the console.

I've bought Guitar Hero today so I haven't really played much, I've done all on easy so far and will need to practise to go further although it's been a lot of fun.
