I think Bruno will be converted to a winger. He's not efficient enough through the middle in an EtH system. Building from the back is crucial, CB and DM will be priority for him. Also think a striker will be bought but Ronaldo will still be first choice. It's a no-brainer that Donny will be a starter considering he was a Ballon D'Or candidate under EtH who can get a tune out of him.

This XI is droolworthy with only three signing. Laird is i obviously a punt because I have no clue who probable RB signings could be.​

If ten hag is as good as he has been touted to be as the guy good enough to have replaced pep at city had he left, then -

Gk - de gea (not my choice but he is getting a new contract so must be staying)
Rb - new signing hopefully
Cb - varane (if he isn't injured again)
cb - new signing
Lb - shaw but will need a new back up with his injury record.
dm - new signing
Cm - donny - hopefully ten hag helps him get his form and confidence back
Cm- bruno - with the club stupidlhqnding him a new improved contract I would hope ten hag can install so much needed discipline in his game to not just do as he pleases on the pitch and improve his decision making.
Rw - sancho, I can see him fitting ten hag's style of play perfectly and perform as good as he did with dortmund from the right.
Lw - rashford, if ten hag can give him the coaching that he has lack for the past 3 managers and get him back to his old self and enjoying football then we have a good player back on our hand.
St - ronaldo, not my choice but everything is pointing to him being here and starting most games.

GK: DDG will be our no 1, we will probably keep Heaton as no 2

RB: I believe we'll go for a cheap punt whose used for the high pressing game someone like Nordi Mukiele whose got 1 year left in his contract
CB: Maguire and Varane will be first teamers. We'll probably sign Timber who'll cover whenever Varane is injured and keep Lindelof. Bailly and Jones will probably be sold or let go
LB: Telles will be ETH first teamer at first but Shaw will be given a chance to fight for his place

CM: I think he'll get De Jong and someone like Sangare on the cheap. McT and Fred will act as cover
AM: Bruno will be first teamer with VDB acting as cover
RW: I think we'll try Sancho again there, with Diallo & Pellistri acting as cover.
LW: Rashy will be first teamer with Elanga and Martial acting as cover. If we sell Martial then we might get Antony or Diaby.

STK: Ronaldo will be first teamer with Nkunku or Darwin Nunes acting as back up

IMO he should aim for more defensive stability, so I'd put Timber at RB and 3 CMs. Neves as DM, Fred more box-to-box, and Frenkie (or someone similar as this deal seems unlikely) to do the playmaking. I think 3 new players for the first team is realistic. This would leave us a bit short in attack, but there is still enough potential with Sancho, Bruno, Ronaldo, Rashford, and maybe some low-profile striker and there are also few talented youngsters.

Majority putting Timber as RB? Whats all that about, isnt he a CB?

I read he can COVER at RB, but is best at CB where he's mostly played.

I recall reading that Lindelof was an excellent RB cover when we signed him too - but i wouldnt play him there as a starter.

Why dont we focus on signing players who are suited/experts in that position. I'd rather play Dalot at RB than Timber, because Dalot is a RB! Square pegs and all that....

Wow, all the failures of the last ten years in one line-up. I actually wouldn't mind seeing Heaton as the starter if it meant we had managed to sell both Henderson and De Gea though.
