Gaming Gran Turismo 7 (PS4/PS5) | Full game and online multiplayer confirmed in free PS VR2 update

Number and type of cars and tracks is pretty much the same as in GT Sport, they've basically updated the game. Menus, driving hubs are pretty much identical, so that's pretty lazy too tbf.
This will be updated pretty regularly. GT sport use to give away 5-10 cars almost on a monthly basis and a track ever 3-5 months.

by any metric of a racing title that’s pretty good because most make you pay for it as DLC

Many years later the list is still pretty shite. Doing the different version of one track and saying it's a new track isn't really a new track.

Pretty nuts isn’t it

To be fair, I never believe the intelligence of AI in games that much. For example in football games it's obvious they are cheating at certain points in games to make it interesting, especially in career modes, and I am quite sure there's bit of that in these videos too. But tbf it does looks like that they are obviously very smart, scary smart!

All gold up to International A, the last set are going to be difficult to gold on controller though.

Quiet in here today, I'd have thought there'd be some comments today. Anyone playing it? What do you think? I had an hour on it this morning and I felt a bit underwhelmed. I posted a while back that the graphics didn't look a massive step on from GT Sport, then I flip flopped a bit and thought it looked amazing. Now I've played it, I'll flip flop again. It looks fantastic, no doubt but there's still something sterile about it once you look beyond the beauty of the cars.

I was also a bit disappointed in the implementation of the haptics. I read a few reviews yesterday that were all over the haptics. Again, I felt a bit underwhelmed, I was expecting more. I will add that these opinions are based off no more than an hour before work so I'm aiming on rinsing it a bit more later. At the very least its an amazingly polished piece of software. The intro is an epic and a wonderfully cheesy and polished piece of slush.

I also hated the fact that the lady talking me through the tutorial was called Sarah, the same name as my recent ex partner of 12 years so that triggered me a bit, very inconsiderate of Kaz Yamauchi to use that name :)

Saying that though, no other game feels as good / realistic to play as GT and I can't wait to get stuck into my licenses.

I spent even less time than you but I get what you're saying with some things. I only did the rally attack while it was downloading and I was slightly underwhelmed at the graphics. It looks good, but it's not gonna slap you in the face with pixels like Horizon does. Which I'm still loving...

I'm sure I'll get hundreds of hours out of it and it only cost me like 35 quid so not that deep.... Mainly got it for the inevitable PSVR2 support anyway.

Same as GT

Held off buying it as was at work today anyway and seeing the Mrs tonight, I'd have probably phoned in to work sick and told the Mrs I had urgent work to do if I'd bought it.

I've still got forbidden west to finish too. However my brother is getting GT7 too so gonna batter the little shit online.

I’m still sitting playing the music lap stuff even though the games been installed for half an hour…

Not just me that loves the engine/exhaust crackle sounds after the races is it?

Do you think it will come to VR? That will be an insane VR experience.

I've been long overdue a GT game my last one was GT3 so thought I'd plunge myself into this.

So far so good.

Anyone given the “circuit experience” time challenges a go yet? Gold times seem frigging impossible with a controller even on the first one I’ve tried!

Licenses all gold, some really fun ones in the final set but a couple are hard as nails for gold.

Prize is worth it though

Managed to gold all the sectors on circuit experience on the first European circuit (can’t remember the name of it) but piecing it all together for a full lap is proving tricky so far!

How are the graphics and stuff (PS5?) I’m keen to give this one a go.

It looks fantastic imo

The use of dualsense seems to be based on using the triggers for accelerator and brake but I just can’t undo the muscle memory of using the right analogue stick so I’m not really getting any new control trickery.

I’ve always used triggers fortunately! Videos online look grest. Must say I am very tempted. But given price point of games these days always seem to think twice!

@Rado_N got this ordered should be arriving tomorrow! Is the online pretty similar to previous iterations? It was one of the best things about GT, having an online which actually works (pretty tough for a racing game!). Can’t wait to get going with it

Not even contemplated online yet!

National A-10 is proving to be tricky AF, it’s the classic GT nightmare of a twitchy RWD car on shite tyres around a complex section of corners.

I’m 0.103 away from gold and it’s driving me up the wall, I just can’t get the power down coming out of the final combination of corners.

The last version, I can’t remember how many hours I wasted as me and a mate competed in the “qualifying” for those online races to shave 1 tenth off our best times! But once you’re all in, literally can’t give up!

I certainly won’t touch online for a good while though. Will progress on the career save first for sure.

Down to 0.073

Increase controller sensitivity and turn counter steer down.
Counter steer is off, as are all other aids including TC, will try controller sensitivity!

Edit: whoops, I’d popped out and actually forgot I’d passed the one I was moaning about when you quoted me. I’m onto International B now, let’s see how they go.
