If Jimmy boy thinking of this then we are in a lot of trouble ?

Surprised this thread isn't locked. The handle is a BS merchant. Poor form from the OP

He shitted his pants at Chelsea despite the fact that Chelsea owner gave him an open checkbook. In the same time period, Erik did great against all odds, and while not getting players he needed

I am far from thinking that EtH is irreplaceable, but Potter ffs?!
Potter wasn't the one using that chequebook, and he isn't a 'recruitment-centred' manager (though maybe still more than Tuchel, who he replaced). ETH wasn't given FDJ. sure, but (a) that was partly his fault for attaching so much importance to a player by all accounts fanatically devoted to Barca as well as still owed huge amounts by the same club and (b) he was backed enough to get in Antony for ungodly money as well as over 60m for an ageing Casemiro to fix short-term issues, then permitted to go for Mount rather than the plethora of seemingly more suitable quick, robust and technical no.8s we could have signed this Summer. And that's before we even get to the style, which, a few months last season aside, has been more disjointed than even Potter's cobbled-together Chelsea side ever managed.

I think Potter is a good manager, despite Chelsea, that club was run like a basket case and he should have got longer. Having said that, there's no point sacking Ten Hag at the minute.
