No more Chelsea castoffs
They have been playing better football recently, better than I remember under Potter.Don't know - the style would be better (even that Frankenstein Chelsea squad played better football under him than we've done since March) and he'd demand movement. Could see Mainoo and Hannibal alongside a new CM signing as the 3, and Amad on the right linking with Hojlund effectively. Also significantly less likely to demand say over transfers.
We'd probably have to get rid of the ageing players and Rashford, possibly Fernandes though, which might be better longer-term but would quite possibly require further short-term pain - players currently being reliant upon 'moments' from those two....
They've also brought in more (quality) players at great cost like Caicedo, Jackson as a runner and focal point, Palmer as a slightly cut-price Phil Foden. Mudryk's had more time to adjust, likewise Enzo. They have been playing better football recently, better than I remember under Potter.
I think it's amazingly difficult sometimes to judge Chelsea players due to how fecking many they get through. It's hard to keep up tbh. They've also brought in more (quality) players at great cost like Caicedo, Jackson as a runner and focal point, Palmer as a slightly cut-price Phil Foden. Poch also is a good coach: I'm not saying he's a downgrade on Potter. And even with all of that, they were still a bit sluggish at the start of the season, if underperforming their xG in a similar way to under Potter. I'm not saying Potter would be my first choice, but I don't think it's an outlandish pick, so long as you recognize other, larger things in terms of squad composition also would need to change.
Bit meanFor some people the wisest thing they can do is not speak/post a thread.
