The part when he thinks a helicopter is following him is by far one of the best scenes of drug induced paranoia ever put on film.

Truly excellent. What a movie.

I thought it was fairly good fun as well...but on the whole he's gone downhill as an actor from someone who did acclaimed dramas to someone who's done whatever big Holywood movie is out. He's got plenty of duds in there.

The worst movie he did was Showtime (2002) with Eddie Murphy otherwise I think he's picked some good roles down the years

Goodfellas is a good film, perhaps Scorsese's most finely crafted and fluid work.

Casino is possibly his least interesting work, and De Niro's least interesting character, it's bloated, dour and offers nothing new to the table. The best things about it was Sharon Stone's performance and a theme from another film.

Out of the 2, I preferred Casino.
The beating that is dished out towards the end is just brutal.

Goodfellas was better, much more going on. Carlitos way was excellent too, didnt have the highest expectations when i watched it and got absolutely thrilled by it

One of the best scenes in any film ever when Jimmy is starting to realise he is going to have to kill Maury. He doesn't say a word but you can see everything in his face. Amazing piece of acting to convey it all without opening his mouth.
