"Patrons" losing their minds.
why are the fans called Patrons? Augusta snobbery in force?

Yeah, lots of discussion earlier in this thread about it. "First cut" and "Second cut" as well
they've just allowed women to be members...... think Condeleesa Rice was the first..Got it!
Sorry, missed that. Good is exclusive enough. Not sure it needs to sound any more exclusive to have that air of grace...

If Tiger wins this I'm not giving up on Nicklaus' record. I doubt he will as he would be full of confidence.Always felt he'd win one more despite all the off course and injury problems. He came very close a couple of times in majors last season didn't he?
Ultimately the Nicklaus record has gone though given he lost a decade.
Certainly has this in the bag unless he plays awful last hole.

At one point, all believed Tiger would break it and things just unraveled. Would be lovely to see him win another Masters just for the comeback. If Tiger wins this I'm not giving up on Nicklaus' record. I doubt he will as he would be full of confidence.
It is one of the most incredible records in sports though. Not easy to win these golf tournaments eh?

I wouldn't put 3 more as being out of the realms of possibility.
Poor old Poulter I like him, can't say he's so ArseanlTiger would've comfortably done it had the injury and then martial issues not occured in 2008-09.
This is a bit like Federer/Nadal being injured/out of tennis shake up for 5-6 years and then coming back. Just checked and Fed actually did go nearly 5 years without winning a slam (Wimbledon 2012 to Aussie Open 2017) although he hasn't had anywhere near the same issues as Woods has.
BTW Poulter is so Arsenal isn't he, yet another nearly but not quite tournament from him.
Didn't realise he was that close tbh, thought he was still 4-5 off even if he finishes the job here.
In his 40s now so that reduces things (although of course Greg Norman and Watson nearly won the Open in last 10 years in their 60s) and danger he might pick up another bad back injury simply through wear and tear.
Can't say I have big love for him but obviously hugely respect this achievement given what's occured last decade.
I saw a little twitch in the old Tiger's eyes....Tiger: "emotional? Please."
