Golf 2019

Get in!!!!

Please Tiger don't do anything stupid. Just keep it steady on home now

I never get tired of seeing that shot:drool:

He's on the fairway safely

If Tiger does this it would surely be the greatest comeback in sports? After all that's happened, it would be remarkable.

I don’t know why but I love a comeback story. I feel elated for him. Bring it home Tiger.

will be the first time he's come from behind (after 54 holes) to win a major if he does it

Got it!

Sorry, missed that. Good is exclusive enough. Not sure it needs to sound any more exclusive to have that air of grace...
they've just allowed women to be members...... think Condeleesa Rice was the first..

Always felt he'd win one more despite all the off course and injury problems. He came very close a couple of times in majors last season didn't he?

Ultimately the Nicklaus record has gone though given he lost a decade.

Certainly has this in the bag unless he plays awful last hole.

If Tiger does win this, I hope he has a list of all the folks who ran off when he was down in the dumps, only singing his praises now.

If Tiger wins this I'm not giving up on Nicklaus' record. I doubt he will as he would be full of confidence.

It is one of the most incredible records in sports though. Not easy to win these golf tournaments eh?

I wouldn't put 3 more as being out of the realms of possibility.

Oh no Woods looks emotional there. Please not yet Tiger... more work to be done.

At one point, all believed Tiger would break it and things just unraveled. Would be lovely to see him win another Masters just for the comeback.

Tiger would've comfortably done it had the injury and then martial issues not occured in 2008-09.

This is a bit like Federer/Nadal being injured/out of tennis shake up for 5-6 years and then coming back. Just checked and Fed actually did go nearly 5 years without winning a slam (Wimbledon 2012 to Aussie Open 2017) although he hasn't had anywhere near the same issues as Woods has.

BTW Poulter is so Arsenal isn't he, yet another nearly but not quite tournament from him.

Yes Tiger!

Didn't realise he was that close tbh, thought he was still 4-5 off even if he finishes the job here.

In his 40s now so that reduces things (although of course Greg Norman and Watson nearly won the Open in last 10 years in their 60s) and danger he might pick up another bad back injury simply through wear and tear.

Can't say I have big love for him but obviously hugely respect this achievement given what's occured last decade.

Poor old Poulter:lol: I like him, can't say he's so Arseanl:lol:

Yeah Tiger would have broken it I believe without the injuries. The marital stuff was one thing but the injuries just took years away from him.

He's on 14, the record is 18, so yea if he sees this out it's 3 more.

By no means saying he will or should do it, but when he's playing like this it's definitely possible.

the problem for Tiger and the record is the other three majors don't suit him anywhere near as much as Augusta

but I wouldn't bet against him

Tiger prowling.... I've missed that.
