United have used quite a few youngsters in Giggs position and sad to say that they are still not ready. One player that caught my attention and should be good enough for United is Crystal Palace's Julien Gray. A good cover for Giggs left midfield position and I think he wouldn't mind United rotation system.

Why everytime after a player played a decent match there are people saying that we should get him.

Harry or Duff. That's all. Actually no one other player comes to mind with the players in that class Hiro Shima for the olympic sharks, i think a Manchester feeder club from the Oz. Very pacy and i think his skill is unquestionable. He will be joining a Portugese first Div club next year. Have a look he is real talent.

Jenas does not play on the left... he plays in central midfield and has been used to fill in on the right hand side at Newcastle.

During the england game he played out on the left for a short time but said himself in a post match interview that he has not played there before in a top level game.

He is a very good player but he will not come to OT to sit on the bench when he will get regular champions league football at Newcastle.

yea, why havent we ever signed him.....

This friendly proved what I suggested ealier is right: we should get Harry Kewell. He is still young but already has tons of experience and skill. He is the one who can give new spark and new dimension to our attack.

Nothing wrong with Richardson in my opinion

He has good skills and energy, he just needs to put on some pounds. Noy saying he has to get big because the compact stocky wingers can be more elusive, but with some more weight and a lower centre of gravity he would not be knocked over so much.

Richardson will surely be given every chance, and just the fact that he has broken into the team shows Fergie's confidence in him, and players are still growing into their early twenties so he has time. But Chadders started brightly also, and physique is a weakness for him too.

A promising LW/FWD is Robinho from Santos(Brazil), a spindly 17(inevitable comparisons to Pele) and a wizard of a dribbler, very confident taking on defenders with the ball, and aside from his trickery he really delivers the end product of assists and goals which a lot of your fancy players don't. Maybe United could wrangle a deal and loan him to Sporting Lisbon(portugese speakers) and watch him develop, before his price gets hyped too far.

I think Brazil always keeps a stock of at least a dozen "New Pele" at any time!

Agree about Beasley. He's young, cheep, and a real menace.

Why?

Good, but not that good. At 27 this summer, even though he'll be free, he won't be much of a long term choice.

There is always Denilson. Decent enough, not a premadonna it would seem, even stuck with Betis through them going down to the second division and himself being loaned off out back to Brazil.

It's an idea. ;)

I would buy Cisse first. ;)
It would be a brave man(or an agent of course) that would mark him as the new Pele, but there is a resembelance, and he comes from Pele's club Santos, where Pele is said to have seen him as a 15 year old of great potential.
In the decisive game of the brazilian championship he was the player that won it for Santos against a more experienced side. He set up two goals with typical trickery, and drew a penalty with a series of step-overs while running/baiting a defender, which he then converted. Can't argue with that performance from a 17year old. Not saying he's the new Pele, but I wouldn't feel bad about having him at OT eventually.

United don't need cover for Giggs, they need a replacement.

Djordic is shite and is arrogant with it. Richardson is a good player but he's not lightning quick to compensate for his current lack of strength and stamina.

Harry Kewell is the best option...the bloke is brilliant and he has a better footballing brain than Giggs, if not his pace. Further, he would play better up front than Giggs does.

Santiago Solari is a very elegant left-sided player but a bit of a fairy when he is tackled, so his talent is not in doubt. just his temperament.

Conclusion: KEWELL. Offer Leeds 8-10m and see if they bite.

You're right, their talent results in BETTER performances than Giggs.

I belive if kewell was at united he could be just as good as giggs. I say during the summer offer leeds 10-15 mil and they may not be able to refuse the offer!!.

SAF did pick him out as the Leeds player he rated, when he was listing the various players in Prem clubs.

Still, if Leeds have steadied the ship, they will want to hold on to their prize asset.

Yes, you twat! Seen him numerous times on MUTV in the live reserve matches. He is shite, a flash and inconsistent player.

Go smoke your pipe and go play with your squaw.

It would be great to see Kewell at Man Utd, but we can't get both him and a world-class striker. And it's a striker that we most need.

Unless we get him and use him as the link-up man behind Ruud (he's Leeds top-scorer this year from that position) for a couple of years until Giggs retires/moves on, and then move Kewell back to the wing. By then we would be able to have the funds to go for another striker.
