Wasn't sure where else to put this, Wahbi Khazri for Bastia against PSG.

Positioning contributed to Ronaldinhos goal vs England in WC02 but it doesnt take anything away from the goal.

You could say it contributes to any goal. It particularly contributes to the above one though, but still a cracking strike.

Good shot from Khazri for that goal.

Good strike, but poor positioning by the keeper also contributed to that goal.

Shocking positioning from the goalkeeper. Looks like he was anticipating a cross rather than a shot. To be fair to the goalkeeper, the free kick was a long way out, so its understandable why he was positioned like that in expecting a cross.

I agree, it appears the keeper was expecting a potential cross and seemed too eager to intercept the incoming ball. A cross may have looked like the most probable option available to Khazri under the circumstances but I still feel that the keeper should not have chosen such a markedly distant position from the goal line. The goal keeper's decision to place himself almost out of the 6 yard box led to a costly outcome from the unanticipated, actual goal-bound shot taken by Khazri which may have been avoided had the keeper opted for a better position that could've allowed him to successfully deal with either of the possibilities (cross or shot).

But even if he's expecting the indirect free kick, he's badly positioned. He's set his defenders up in a high line, meaning he's unlikely to be able to get a punch on any decent ball that comes in. So there's no reason to be out that far, and especially not to be so far towards the far post ('far' from the free-kick taker's perspective).

Agree the goalkeeper was badly positioned, regardless of whichever way you look at it.

The freekick taker will have spotted the goalkeepers positioning and he took full advantage of it. Its a good strike, so lets not take anything away from the goal which was a good strike.

Dunno what I'm looking at here like?

Rooney and Neville.

I was sent these GIF's from a newbie (roonster09). Nani's wonderful goals:

Spoilering them just in case it lags someone's page out. There's a lot there

Boro' goal is the best goal for United ive probably witnessed personally altho the Rooney / Tevez combination goal later on was superb to.

Best goal against gotta be Arjen Robben in CL for Bayern...

Not a gif, but

What Nani did to Kompany for the 3rd goal was exactly the same thing Torres did to Vidic in 08/09 and the myth that Torres terrorized Vidic was born - of course by the deluded Liverpool fans. It's amusing no one has ever mentioned Nani terrorized Kompany.
