Getting a new Phone ..

I agree. feck all this smartphone bullshit, makes you wonder how people got by 10 years ago.

And regular mobiles make you wonder how people got on in the 70s. Times move on.

Anyway, as I was saying: Decent phones (not too pricey) that stay charged for long periods? Anyone?

Times don't move on or phones don't stay charged? I'm not looking for anything special here.

Decent smartphones don't stay charged for long. You are looking at charging every other day, or, more likely, every day.

Why no iPhone?
I also have an HTC desire and that is an excellent phone too.

I have no problems with the iPhone but it might be out of my price range just atm.

I am leaning towards the sensation, aren't Sony doing any good phones recently or even Nokia?

iPhones are far too expensive here in India.

SE don't have anything too great and Nokia is rubbish without Android. How much are you getting the Sensation for?

On contract, £25 a month by the looks of things.

Read a few reviews now and HTC beats the iPhone hands down by the looks of things, going to order it by this weekend. :D

prepare to become one of those people who refuse to admit they wish they got an iphone, but now have a useless lump of plastic for 24 months

HTC just is a better phone and an all round package by the looks of things, i already have a iPOD touch - so it wouldn't be of much use to me.

It dosnt beat it hands down but it certainly seems to have the edge at the moment

Got the Sensation 2 weeks back as well and the phone and the OS are just far superior to Apple and it's iOs imo.

Wise move. Was thinking of getting an ipad 2 to pair with my s2..till I saw windows 8

I am in 2 minds on the iPhone. All my mates who have one cream themselves over it. But I think thats just the way Apple fans are

What can the iPhone do that the HTC cannot?

iTunes do not concern me at all

You have to pay for a ton of apps that are available for free on Android. That is one of the many "perks." Other than that, not much. For more detail, check one of the threads in the General.

Those mates would probably cream themselves just as much if they had a top-end android-based phone, like Galaxy S2 or the Sensation. I've got a few mates who own iphones as well and are very happy with it. When I got my Galaxy S2 they had to admit that it was incredibly fast and had an awesome screen.

The iphone can't do anything Android-models can. People usually use iTunes as a reason to go for iphone, but as you don't care about that there's literally no point to get an iphone rather than an android-based one.

By going android you also get the freedom of customization. Don't like the default messaging system or the default keyboard? Download another one.

it has a better display, but if you buy a HTC Rezound or better yet a Galaxy Nexus (best phone out there), you'll get a better screen.

The Iphone would be too small for me, its 3,5 inch small.
