Gervinho

He is definitely a step up on Bendtner.. Also he can play as a Wing forward as well.. If it goes through it will be a very good signing by Arsenal..

As well? Surely that's the only position he'll be playing for Arsenal (and not up front)?

Because Arsenal are crying out for more players that can play 'wing forward'

They've got about eleven of the cnuts already.

I am not Arsene Wenger.. Ask him why he is signing him... They are probably planning to let Arshavin leave as well? Rosicky hasn't done much for em either..

He can play as a 2nd striker.. Not sure if Arsenal will play with 2 strikers a lot though..

He has pace and can dribble. He's very inconsistent in front of goals and that's why he's never truly played as a striker.A pointless signing for Arsenal it seems at first but it'll be interesting to watch him play. His fellow countrymen have done rather well in the PL and he's good enough to succeed

I think he is cover for Walcott on the right wing but I am pretty sure he can play on the left wing too.

Wenger is also very good at polishing potential.

I think Gervinho will be the signing of the summer.

He has bags of energy, pace and really loves running at defenders. I watched a bit of him at Lille last season and he's a very good player and underrated by some if I'm being honest.

One thing though, what's with that huge bonce?!

BTW, can a mod move this to football section pretty please?

He's the most Arsenal looking signing I have ever seen.

I was impressed with him against Boca. Will be interesting to see how he adapts.

Gervinho, the only established player to join Arsenal this summer, summed up the mood after Nasri’s £24 million sale to Manchester City last week. “His exit has left me in pain,” the forward said. “I wanted to play with Samir because he is a big player. He promised to be there this season and then changed his mind.

“This is a different Arsenal. A new team without Nasri and Cesc. But we need to forget that and turn the page. We must think only about the future. I would have liked to have played with Cesc and Samir. They left to join big clubs, to try their luck elsewhere. One day I hope to have the opportunity to play with them again.”

Barely in through the front door, and already speaking of leaving :nono:

Arsene really has to get a grip of this team soon. He's got a squad full of 'We miss Fabregas and Nasri' players ATM.

Would prefer he played at old trafford tbh. Seems to enjoy giving the ball to the oppositions defenders.

And getting red cards. Speaking of red cards, Arsenal have had 3 in 3 games; poor gooners getting treated roughly by other teams. Arshavin was also a dirty little fecker on Sunday making disgusting tackles and then pretending to have been completely innocent.
