If I had to choose between sleeping with Miss Worl
Anyone seen him play? Named as one of the ones to watch in the world cup at manutd.com. He has been very impressive this season with 11 goals in 22 appearances and according to wikipedia he can play both forward, attacking midfielder and on both wings. Seems to be rather two footed and possess both strength and speed. He will be a key man for Ivory Coast if not Drogba gets fit.

I'll be looking at him in the world cup with interest, based on that he plays for Lille he might be that "value for money" striker Sir Alex seems to be looking for. I don't know anything about him, but he seems like the type of forward we could need. Not seen him being linked yet but Ferguson often just snaps up a unpredictable player, for example Obertan last season.

He's been quality whenever I've seen him play for Lille in the Europa League this year but I really don't think he's the type of player we need at the moment but definitely one to look out for at the World Cup

Who?? And what country he be playing for? Never sin that name in the Brazil squad...

I watched him during the AFCON, in which he was really bad. Some of the worst finishing I have ever seen, but he's young & learning I guess.

He's also got a massive fivehead fwiw!

He has the raw attributes to be a great player (strength, pace and technique). He's young too which is good.If he can steadily improve like he has so far, he will become the next african superstar

I reckon we will see a lot of the up and coming Ghana players being snapped up after this world cup.
Its probably come about 2 years too early for them otherwise they'd have been a good bet.

He was first choice right winger for my Ivory Coast team on FM. Scored a load of goals from there.

Which obviously means we should sign him up right this very minute.

They anticipate he may follow in Drogba's footsteps.

For that reason alone we should keep an eye on him. If he ends up anywhere as good as his countryman then he will be a top striker.

Strange running style.. looks like he's about to fall over any second. Looks a good dribbler.

Yes, notice that too. It seems the opponents aren't willing to tackle Gervais for some reason. Strange name too.

He's looked bright today in a very dull game.

He's been lively but the quality hasnt been there. Runs down blind alleys too often. He just tend to get his head down and run. I've not been impressed with him at all.

looked lively, but then gain so would have my granddad in that game ... so we have not really learnt very much!

Spartak Moscow has a €20m bid accepted for Gervinho.

Arsenal target Gervinho has confirmed he will leave Lille for the Barclays Premier League this simmer.

With only one year left to run on his current contract, the 24-year-old attacker's future has been the subject of plenty of speculation for a number of months as a number of clubs reportedly pursue his signature.

According to Goal.com, Arsenal have made an offer of €17 million for the Ivory Coast international - which was rejected by Lille - but the Gunners still remain keen on Gervinho.

Arsenal are known to be in the market for goalscoring reinforcements and Arsene Wenger is alleged to have identified Gervinho as a potential summer acquisition.

And the forward's future now seems set to be resolved in the coming weeks after he revealed that his time at the Stade Lille Metropole has come to an end.

"My mind is made up, I am leaving," Gervinho told skysports.com.

"I have made my mind up. I will soon meet the club and let them know, but they understand my feelings that I want to prove myself in a top league in Europe.

"My agents are moving things as I want, people know where my future lies, it is in England."

Along with Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle have also been linked with the versatile attacker.

They rejected €17m from Arsenal and he only has a year left on his contract. Seems a bit thick to me. They must think they can get more? He's not that good

Lille's Ivorian striker Gervinho to have talks with Arsenal | Football | guardian.co.uk

Lille have confirmed that their striker Gervinho wants to move to England and talks with Arsenal are planned.

The Ivory Coast international contributed 15 goals and 10 assists to Lille's double-winning season where they won the Ligue 1 and Coupe de France.

Paris St-Germain have asked about the 24-year-old but his club are not keen on selling to a domestic rival.

"He wants to go and has developed contacts with Arsenal," said the Lille general manager Frédéric Paquet.

"We will soon have talks with them and see what they offer. He has expressed a desire to go to England and we will see what happens."

The link with PSG was a non-starter said Paquet: "Paris St-Germain inquired but we are not thinking about strengthening a competitor."

Although Lille will entertain the idea of selling Gervinho, their stance is different on Eden Hazard. Paquet has described the 20-year-old Belgian as "untransferable".

Lille earlier announced the capture of the 21-year-old striker Ronny Rodelin from the Ligue 2 side Nantes.

So this one might actually happen.

Is he any good? He's certainly never stood out in any Lille/Ivory Coast games I've watched in the last few years (other than for his bizarre Kilngon head)

I actually think I remember him being very impressive with the ball at his feet albeit a little low on end product when I saw him at the World Cup. Sad part is I remember very little. Not even sure which World Cup it was

He is definitely a step up on Bendtner.. Also he can play as a Wing forward as well.. If it goes through it will be a very good signing by Arsenal..
