From what I saw when watching Dinamo, he is more defensive oriented than Nagelsman. Press in defensive positions then maintain shape and counter opportunistically. Hertha certainly need to stop conceding silly goals and also silly late goals, he will help make them solid.

Admittedly I didn't exactly do a thorough scouting of Mainz during the Schwarz days, but the vibe I got from them was that they were just another team whose game plan was to be tough to beat and hope for an opposition mistake to snatch a goal.
But as has already been said: Herthaners can't be choosers and having a coach, who sets them up as a solid unit while perhaps doing some team building and engaging the fans might actually be a good next step for them, as far as realistic options go.
But would it be better to not pun than to go for the low hanging pun?

I wonder how Breitenreiter will do in Hoffenheim. He was quite lucky during his year in Zurich as the two main rivals (Basel and Bern) were both struggling badly. It was very much a Leicester-ish season.

He reminds me a bit of his older brother who plays for Dresden now...talented but needs to hit the weight room.
Had a few short Bundesliga cameos this season but didn't really stand out. He's not really the top-rated youngster in Hertha's academy but he could become a servicable pro if he works hard.

The exodus continues... don't know what's happening there, but the amount of staff and players leaving under unclear circumstances or under a lot of public noise in the last two years is astonishing.
I assumed that Dortmund would make him chief scout, since the current one was reportedly looking to take a management role elsewhere. However that may not be the case:
It's hard to believe someone would leave Bayern for a lesser role at Dortmund - I guess there must have been internal differences or Bayern just wasn't happy with his work. Or maybe Bayern are really comitted to make the switch from the French market to Leipzig.

I'm intrigued how Farke will do at Gladbach. I have the sense there's a top coach in there, even he is a bit of a ridiculous figure if you combine appearance and voice.
A few boring decisions. Kramer, Schwarz, Farke and Breitenreiter all probably need a sack-watch tag. Kovac is fairly uninspiring as well. Terzic is a placeholder. Maaßen at Augsburg ist going to be interesting, but he is the only one.
I think Kovac looks like a pretty great signing for Wolfsburg: Bayern was too big for him, but he's done well at Frankfurt and (as far as I'm aware) Monaco as well. Getting someone with a big(ish) name is also a nice bonus for the plastic clubs.
Farke never coached higher than 4th division in Germany, at the very least I remember that Norwich played some really nice build up sequences under him and both he and Gladbach have stressed that they intend to play with the ball rather than against it. That sounds pretty exciting to me.
I wouldn't call Terzic a placeholder either. He's a sincere appointment for Dortmund. "Sack-watch" might be the more accurate tag though. If he works out however he could have a lot of potential, because he understands very well how to tap into the emotional side of the club.
Kramer and Schwarz are classic: "we are poor and frightened" appointments.
And looking at who preceded him Breitenreiter is just a bizarre appointment.
Why would Mönchengladbach do that to themself? Poor choice in my opinion with number of managers they could have gone with.

Lot of managers would sign for Gladbach. It is popular club and they could have gone with someone better. There is no way former Norwich manager is their best choice. Unless they got lot of managers rejecting them for some reason.
But who exactly? Sandro Schwarz? And what's the point of "former Norwich manager"? Klopp and Tuchel were "former Mainz managers" when they joined Dortmund, Klopp even after getting relegated and failing to win promotion.

Hermann has been a successful assistant coach for ages and has seen it all, won the Champions League and was the go to assistant coach for Jupp Heynckes. He can be a great help for a young coach.

Was good in his first season when they finished 5th or 6th under Wagner. Like everyone else from that squad, bad afterwards.
He was one of their better players alongside Salif Sané and Weston McKennie. He'll be a good player in the Bundesliga, but I don't think Hertha will get the best out of him.
Whenever I get too anti-Brazzo I remind myself of the fact that he firmly resisted and rejected Flick's demand to buy Timo Werner, and I feel grateful and well stewarded.

if many strikers don't score that would have bad games. He did well, was a good outlet in attack, forced a great save from Donnaruma but should've done better with another chance.
