Garnacho: What is his potential?

Doesn't look anything special so far but it's far too early to come to any definitive conclusions

Could develop into a top class player or end up like another Januzaj. Just too hard to predict for a plethora of reasons this early on.

January has ended up having a very solid career.

I mentioned yesterday he could easily be another Anthony Gordon and that's exactly who he looked like today. He just ran with the ball aimlessly and there was nothing more to his game.

If he can't beat his fullback he has no other qualities to rely on.

hmm, that might be true but yet he seems to show at least something unlike many player before him there, Rashford had alsmost two years of shittier games from the left there, Sancho and Elanga had much worse games there too.

It really is relative to judge a performance like this, in the mentioned context, he's done quite well. Doesn't needlessly lose the ball, took his players on when he could, worked his ass. Can't say it was a bad performance for his first league start?
Agree with all that - just don’t think he’s ready to start.

Thought he was fine. Definitely one of a few who didn't let himself down. A lot to work on but the raw talent is there.

People have forgotten how bad Sancho has been this season. I thought Garnacho was ok he keeps the width and he had that RB on the back foot a few times. He’s only 18!

Even Mbappe looks average when the opposing teams sits so deep.

He is not ready and no idea why ETH play him in the left wing where Rashford and Shaw combined very well in recent games.

Agree he looks like Dan James level now. Hopefully he can improve further as he is still very young.

Hope he does well whatever the case. One of my best friends (his wife is Spanish) is actually friends with Garnacho's parents. Hopefully they can convince them to stay in Manchester

He will only leave Manchester if he becomes good enough for Madrid and maybe Barca if they fix thier finances.

This means that he would have to be the one of best few forwards in the world. That is still long long shot.

He can be great. Keep after it young man. His Sheriff game shows what he can be against good comp in a couple years.

Cafe will right him off of course....

feck me he's good! Love seeing a speedy winger. Give him time to develop

He's got it, might take time to get it out of him regularly but looks like it's there

A bit of muscle that transforms him from fast to powerful would see him reach elite levels imo. He’s so slight and gets shouldered off the ball too easily so can’t really go into traffic but that’ll come

I would say he is a similar level of excitement as when Greenwood burst on the scene. You just expect something to happen whenever he gets on the ball

Everything Sancho should be but isn’t seemingly capable of in England.

He’s just a really exciting talent to watch. Always expect him to do something good.

I like it that he plays it simple aswel as taking risks. Very mature for a player his age .

Let’s fecking go, and to think a year ago many here would write South American players are not for United, we now have 4 Brazil WC players and several other lovely prospects from the region

Come through at just the right time… when everyone else is knackered, our attacking options are shite, we might lose Ronaldo and the World Cup is going to feck everything… He’s a shot of momentum we really need and he’ll be fresh and settled in Jan.

What a player. Won us the game. Should be first rotation option for the LW spot.
