Gareth Barry on a Free :)

my word what a sh!t thread.

it's going to be a long summer.

Now that Moyes is done I don't think that we need to make any desperation signings. Hell, Van Gaal might even get Cleverley looking like a footballer again!

Close thread.

It's not the worst idea. He's been a lot better than Carrick this season.

Every time he's mentioned I remember that hilarious own goal against Southampton for some reason. Funniest and most random own goal ever.

What say the denizens of the CAF on the possibility of signing Mr Barry on a free?

He is possibly a better player at this point than any of our midfield players, certainly on this seasons form. He is also one of those players that never gets injured.

Perhaps it would be embarrassing to sign a City reject but most City fans that I know thought that he still had something to offer before he was loaned out.
Did you not slat me last summer for promoting this guy? Why are you now making a thread as if you've brainstormed hard on this and came to this majestic idea all by yourself... stop trying to take credit for the insight I provided a year ago.

You are an unnerving and scandalous person.

That really made me question if match fixing existed at the highest level of football.

@Kevin

We were champions last year. When I made this thread we were 7th and looking at another season of Moyes.

Now that Moyes has gone Barry is out of the question. A top manager and new horizons mean that we have better pulling power.

He's better than your current shower, no question. Quite gutted we let him go out on loan this season.

That said, you need to sign a better midfielder than Barry to progress where you want to be again.

Not surprised by this childish reaction of yours. Why don't you just be matured enough and reply to my PMs? You seem to be more concerned in showing your authority rather then respecting others' opinion.
I already gave you several responses by PM, i don't have time for a never-ending conversation

NO !!!! just NO a thousand times, he is not even close to being good enough.

Never-ending conversation as in you tell me that I'm an idiot and just leave it at that when I politely asked why you cursed me and immediately locked my thread without giving me a chance to explain to the forum why exactly I started the thread? And then when I politely explain further, you told me to get real, you are right to lock it and told me to 'step it up'? And then when I demand some respect, you stopped replying and called it a never-ending conversation?

You replied to my every post in this thread because you don't want to be made looking bad. Yet in PM, you showed very little respect to me while insisting on me to accept whatever decision you made. I know you're an important admin in here, but come on, there are nicer ways to exert your authority.

Just like Ashley Young and Marouane Fellaini.

Before they signed for United anyway.

I didnt call you an idiot, i said you had an idiotic way of thinking

yet again, you are trying to keep this conversation going. I told you I was done with it. End off.

Too old now, but I really think he's underrated on here.

Either way, just show some respect please. It's just an Internet forum. You don't have to be so uptight ;)

Good player, but he shouldn't even come under consideration. When we have two midfielders in Fletcher an Carrick who are entering an in their thirties, the last player we want is someone already in that age bracket - even on a bosman.

Quite the underrated player.. He is very good at what does and offers the right balance...
I have always liked him.. Too old to bring him in now.. But are there any young players out there that can play that specific anchor role very well..?From watching football since its been made fashionable, its seems a role designed and suited to mature individuals....
