Do we seriously need to ask the question of players choosing Utd over Spurs? It's absurd to think about, I can say with confidence that 99% of footballers would choose Utd.
Apart from Bale, where does Haaland sit in your 99% ?

chose Dortmund over Utd
Re-read my post I haven't said no players ever pick other clubs over Utd, I'm nearly stating the obvious, more players than not will choose Utd over Spurs if all other things are equal. You disagree?

We obviously have reservations regarding him and his fitness/desire to play. Has it been confirmed we were rejected in favour of Tottenham?

Fingers crossed Spurs pull this off so he’s off the table. I fear it would just be too tempting to the suits at OT.

For the people asking why he may choose Spurs over United, if the permanent deal that Spurs is offering is true, he probably doesn't want to return to Madrid, and it seems like a loan is the only possible option coming from United, hence why joining Spurs is more appealing.

miss read your post, that said I still don’t agree with it

Yep here’s hoping for a quick deal and announcement by Spurs otherwise my fear will be there until the last minute of deadline day that we might make a desperate bid.

 why is this so important for you? Its your opinion, and not based on anything factual at all, your just come across like an elitest. I usually don't bite at these sort of posts but I really wanna know.
tbf it is exactly the same as some Spurs fan spouting on another forum that he knows Bale chose Spurs over United.

Its really not, I have no idea what Bale did or didn't do. @TrustInJanuzaj has stated 99% of players would join United, such a fecking broad statement to make. I could go into many storys about Bale to United in the past but the usual response will be "Oh, oh we were never in for him anyway" I get it this is a United forum so I simply don't bother anymore.

Do you believe 99% of players would pick United over Spurs, with out any context like playing time, history with the club etc etc? It's absolute elitist horse shit.

Its a gamble of course, for the valid points stated. Injury record. Lost his pace he had, 31, lack of fitness etc but for Spurs its a gamble they'd jump at. And I think Madrid have just washed their hands of him.

Will he be effective between now and May, most likely in some games. Will he strike the fear into teams like he used to pre=Madrid? No

No club worse for that shit than the Liverpool fans. Whenever they are linked with someone its always "he only wants us, if Klopp wants him he is ours." Crock of shit.

To be fair you earn elitism by being the biggest club in England and its not arrogance to state that as a fact. You really think Bale would prefer Spurs over Utd?

Which i'd agree with because its based on absolutely nothing but factually Utd is just a different tier of pull compared to Spurs.

Hasn't he already done that once before? As a young lad moving from Southampton (I think), Utd wanted him but he chose spurs.

It's still a pretty ignorant attribute to have. I'm not going into it cause there is no point, you believe players just want money and the only club anyone can have affinity with is your own, I very much doubt I will convince you otherwise mate.

Someone please sum it up for me because I don’t watch much of La Liga. Why are Madrid not planning to start the season with Bale? Is it because Zidane doesn’t fancy him? If so, what is the beef between them? I mean Bale virtually won him the CL two years ago in Kiev

He never learnt Spanish and the fans never took to him, he was always seen as a Perez buy than a true Madrid player... then there was Ronaldo.

Zidane used to play BBC as his front 3 in 433. Then Bale got injured, and Zidane switched to 442 moved CR7 to forward and Isco as #10 and had great success. Bale never got back to the team since then.

Well Ronaldo isn’t at the club anymore. Isco i think is still there but doesn’t seem to play often these days so why couldn’t he find a way to fit Bale in there? Actually never mind, I don’t even know what i mean myself

No idea why, but that's what happened when Bale lost his place in Zidane's line up back then.

I think Bale just ultimately didnt care what happened, no its not a good look for him but he took a lot of shit.

Fergie said Southampton refused to deal with us and answer our calls. Not really sure why. However in this instance I could think of plenty of reasons why Bale would choose Spurs over us. Not that I think I he has.

I don't think United is ever interested in Bale. It is all about Jancho.

I think that’s fair. He would prefer to go back to the club with familiar surroundings with familiar people all around and probably still has some affection for your club. Not sour grapes but i’m glad he’s joining you instead of United as I don’t want to see him here

Yeah. He’s just a player on a list of alternatives for Sancho that we can fob the media off with. The list appears to have been generated in 2017. If we did go for him though I could see why he’d choose Tottenham. Fans that love him in a city he knows and was settled in. He just wants to get his dough, play football and be happy.
