Froch vs Ward

Froch may be losing in the ring but my word he's winning out of the ring!

Easy win for Ward, he was very impressive.

Good refereeing as well.

He can console himself with fecking Rachel or whatever her name was

Crotch's nose got more wonky

2 of the judges made it closer than it was IMO.

Wait did he just say 115-113? The feck was that Judge watching?

Edit, 2!

Crotch raised his hand!?!?!

shut up about your lord saviour. Obseqious interview

Refreshing to hear Ward talk like that. And now I'm gonna upset Lance by announcing I enjoy watching the UFC more than boxing right now.

Ward is a good egg, despite the Holyfieldesque god talk.

Yep. You can't really be obsequious towards God if you believe in him can you? He's not your fecking line manager.

Ward claimed this fight should be called 'no excuses'. Unless Froch can fashion an unlikely ko, i will be interested to see what Froch has to say about his performance after this one.

I've got to say, I'll struggle to maintain my dislike for Froch after that. Honest, pretty humble post-fight interview after trying to win the fight right up to the final bell in what must have been a very dispiriting hiding.

I genuinely felt a little pang of guilt for sharing that opinion in here. Like a gentleman Lance never called me a turd for it, and I've noted he's occasionally posted in the MMA thread himself. Its not really a knock on boxing as a combat sport, but it is plain fact that the most compelling fights available are made in MMA far more frequently than they are in boxing, and the undercards make for far more relevant viewing. I'll be happy as a pig in shite if boxing levels things up as I love them both.

Crotch won 2 rounds at best this evening. Those judges should be viciously assaulted with various kitchen appliances.

The UFC right now can churn out great fights nearly every month and the undercard is usually pretty good to boot. Boxing we wait seemingly months for interesting fights to happen, the undercard is usually a case of going through the motions waiting for the main event and then its usually judged by spastics.

Boxing vs MMA, not into all that, I like both for their individual merits. I don't think as a viewing package though that boxing offers nearly enough stacked cards as it should, too many club fighters sent out for a pasting on TV and far too many promoters involved who really shouldn't be needed.

Make Mayweather/Pacquiao happen soon and all is forgiven.

Ward doesn't half like to push and hold. Great performance anyway, better prepared than Froch was with his fight tactics too.

I don't disagree with you. At all. :(

I've broken him :(

Come watch Strikeforce with me Lance, it only feels dirty the first few times.

Your telling me you won't watch two freaks like Overeem & Lesnar fight? Come on dude thats an exciting prospect for any fan of fighting.

I refuse to, out of general principle.

That's what I'm telling you, anyway...

The 30th? Of December? I'll be laying in a ditch somewhere, I'm sure.
