French Open

It's time for Andre to quit. It's not doing his rep any good.

federer to win it again, simply the best tennis player right now and his record is fantastic.

He is the best out there but isn't as good on clay as the other surfaces. Still high class on clay just instead of being a lot better than everyone else like he is on every other surface, on clay he is merely a bit better than everyone else! :smirk:

I think Rafael Nadal actually has a really good chance. To see him emerge at RG would be something special.

Venus Williams get beaten by 15-year-old Bulgarian Sesil Karatantcheva

Sharapova is better looking than her i think.
I reckon Nadal or Federrer will go thru the final. Federer is just too good for all of his opponents atm, he definately has a chance to go as high as Samprass or even higher

Perhaps you ought to post some, then?

Ok..;)

Thanks, Donado. I think we were all hoping for a Sharapova or Dementieva (I like her) picture.

Good to see Mary Pierce in good form. These young Russian types may be well fit but Mary's legs still do it for me :D

Time wasting's her forte..

Takes ages to serve..didn't deserve to win the match too.

Sharapova's out. :(

Thats a shame. Sharapova is the only reason I sometimes watch tennis.

Sharapova is overrated, looks 190 long and clumpsy as feck. Ain't that good looking either, nothing close to what Kournikova was.

That said, Henin is no oil painting either.

I liked the grunting noises.:(

Dementieva's one to watch though!

Kournikova was an over-rated pile of wank.

Yes it was nice and cheaty

I was distracted by her ever tiny skirt mind you ;)

Looking forward to Federer vs Nadal.

My pre-tournament picks are both still in it: Henin and Nadal

Too bad about Federer, but Nadal seems unstoppable this year on clay.

want juan carlo ferrero to win it all, dont even know if he's still in the tornament though, havent been following the french open this time round...

You'll be disappointed then. He lost early in the third round.

 i love him too...but seeing as there's only the final left, i don't think he stands much of a chance!

p.s. Henin just destroyed Mary Pierce who looked close to tears for most of that!

:nono: feck's sake. She's getting on now, I'm not going to have too many more oppurtunities to watch her play.

Mary Pierce always seems to be right on the edge with respect to her nerves, and today the nerves won out. I'm glad Henin-Hardenne is back, I like her game -- pure class, just like Federer.

Now just Nadal to go for the big payout.

No surprises. Hantuchova is the new Kournikova.

:nono: She is not. She is by a mile better player than Mrs. Iglesias. She just has to find a constant form. And don´t forget she lost to Clijsters.

uh, excuse me? why exactly are you wagging your finger and swearing at me?

i don't give a flying feck off a rolling doughnut about either of them...i was merely summing up the match! not insulting anyone!

Yeah...an absolute pleasure to watch...which is why I like both of them. Federer will probably retain Wimbledon this year and Justine will hopefully regain it...she's probably the best player around in the WTA - despite her ranking...that's due to her illness and knee injury - she has the most flair and is an intelligent player. Earlier, she wasn't powerful enough and used to get overpowered by the Williams and the likes....that's not the case any more..it's not hard for her to counter the tactics of any player, no matter how diverse her style of play is......she's worked on her service and hits hard, too - that backhand is the most beautiful backhand I ever saw.

As for Federer...he's the most talented, the most intelligent and the most consistent players of this era. Clay's not his strongest surface, which was why I was hoping he'd win this year...don't know how many more chances he'll get..but hopefully next year. He's the best by far on grass and hard court...the only person who comes close is Marat Safin...in terms of talent, I think Safin is almost as good as Federer...but Safin gets distracted far too easily and is much too inconsistent....another player I like though. Lleyton Hewitt works very hard, but isn't as talented as those two...but I like the fact that he plays with a lot of heart in his game...though I think he's a twat. As for Roddick...he's still a bit childish, really.

what an opening set! this had whitewash written all over it...but Puerta is fighting for his life :D

tho i don't think he'll be strong enough in the end....

Bloody irritating this Nadal is, certainely needs to get some decent shorts like real players wear instead of those homo pants. If he would cut out that pathetic celebrating after every point it would be good as well. If he did that, one might be able to respect him.

Still a disgusting baseline player though with a two hand back-hand..

Puerta is a druggie though, so Nadal is the better option.

Tennis isn't the same these days, was alright up until Becker and Edberg. Been boring since.

Nadal wins!

First time he's been there and he wins the whole thing.
