How good is this guy supposed to be? Any regular viewers of him. Only ever watched clips of him filling our link. Looks like what we need in terms of style of play I've gotta say.
Fred is the box to box midfielder, similar to Herrera but much better players and better passers, it helps that he is left footed on the right flank. He can find space to pass for our forward to make a run. Pogba-Matic-Fred is little more balanced but I think having DLP sitting behind Pogba and Fred would help more, IMO.
My exact sentiments from my admittedly limited viewing of him. Always hard to judge from a different league as I honestly think our league allows very few opportunities to play 15/20 yard balls along the ground into the box (or just before the box). But I like the fact he picks it up and plays balls right through middle, real penetrative passes. If Lukaku can hang between the CB's, I think this could work wonders for him.
I also like how dynamic he looks. We don't have anyone with that sort of energy in midfield. Can't remember anyone but Anderson before he turned to shit that gave us that sort of style.
If those clips do him any justice, we have a very useful player on our hands.
Maybe you could watch him in UCL, it is easier to judge based on his performance in UCL. He played so well against Napoli and City if I recall, that two teams like to dominate.

Naah mate, Fabinho had no idea he was going to Liverpool until the CL final finished. The reason Klopp was celebrating at 6am on Sunday was because he had just gotten off the phone with Fabinho talking about coming to Liverpool.
From what I've seen of Fred, I don't get it. He's a flashy Brazilian midfielder who counts on tricks to keep possession and finds decent passes at times. Looks very clumsy and light-weight to me, and those tricks end up losing the ball more often than not. What does Jose see in him beyond that CL game against City?
I'm sure he's seen much more of him than a game where he wasn't even that great, just a hunch.

From what I’ve seen (just youtube videos) he seems way more dynamic than Fabinho, and we desperately need someone who puts extra energy and speed on the midfield. Hopefully we sign him and turns out to be a late world class boomer.
