Always had a great attitude and a smile on his face so I enjoyed having him as part of the squad, hope he thrives in Turkey.

Best of luck to him. There was never any doubt about his commitment and he always gave it all. Likeable player.

Hope that 10m euro plus 5m add ons is wrong. Shocking if true, should be getting more than that.

Fred was an enigma, one game at the etihad motm performance. Then 3 awful ones where he couldn't make 5 yard pass to a team mate, like he genuinely forgot how to play football.

Very likeable player and very underrated on occasions. Could never question his attitude and commitment, unlike others during his time here. Had several huge performances in big games. Energizer Bunny.

Thank fu*k he's gone, infuriated me watching him give the ball away for the umpteenth time then run around with his hand in the air aknowlaging his mistake
That and his wayward shooting.

For whatever reason, the ball always fell to him in good positions outside the box only for him to totally shank it or hit it into row z.

He won't be missed by me. Good riddance

You have a point. Second-Half Fred alone is worth 25m. But it's better to turn the page on him and look for someone better. He's 30 years old now. I'd prefer to upgrade him or even gove his minutes to the youngsters.

Came on in the fa Cup semi final and made a massive difference. Then a week later he put in one of the worst performances against spurs. He was an enigma

Reality is, he's in the last year of his contract, on over £100k a week and is a fringe player that clubs know we don't want. I'd like to have got £20million for him but if we still get Amrabat as a result of moving him on I'll take it.

15mil euros is basically £13mil so only £2mil less than what we were happy for Fulham to pay, given that Turkey isn't flush with cash I'd say just take the win with the wages off the books.

On to Amrabat.

Always loved the guy, the issue for me was never his ability, was more his inconsistency.
It will be interesting as there is another 'Fred' waiting as every forum needs an scapegoat....

Always liked Fred — he looked like one of the only players who gave a shit when things went south under Ole/Rangnick. But he was just way too inconsistent to play for a top team.

A little random but I just thought about his assist to Bruno against Fulham in the last game of the season.

Weirdly my favourite pass of the season. Something about that type of pass is so easy on the eye.

What on earth did you expect to get

Adios Admigo, some bright and very good performances, some that just made you fall off your chair in Laughter, but a great servant to the club compare to others who have worn the shirt and you sir wore it with Pride! Thank you Fred, all the best for the future. I carry the piano for the artists to play.

Sort of sad to see him to, wish him all the best. But it's the best move for both parties, truth be told he was never good enough to start for United.

He had some great games against City over the years, good luck to him.

The best epigram on Fred was when someone here wrote: Fred is excellent at breaking up play - for both teams.
A poster once said 'God flips a coin whenever Fred touches the ball'. That is the most accurate description of Fred imo.

Good luck to him, the performance spectrum was wild but he gave it his all.

There was a post in his thread last season that lives rent free in my head. The guy called him a train conductor. The amount of times he puts his hand up to apologise for a poor pass is comical. Every time he did that, it would always remind me of that post.

Good luck to him. As others have said clearly always gave it everything. That alone isn’t enough now though for where we want to get to and at 30, with a year left on this contract, it’s the right time to move him on.
