It depends on the backing he gets from the board this summer and what he’s able to do financially but he’s been able to connect the fans to the club and squad in a way no other manager has been able to do in years. He’s been able to bring belief and confidence back to a squad that has been lacking it for years/especially this season after the brutal job Benitez did which almost destroyed the club from the inside out.
I understand that people on here are neutrals so don’t watch all our games but you can see how many players have improved under him and how quickly he’s been able to learn what needs to be done to survive. Players like Mykolenko and Richy have gone to another level under Lampard (a mix of himself and bringing in coaches like A. Cole etc.).
Let’s not gloss over the fact that there have been multiple games under him where we have been shafted too and we would have likely been out of the position we were in earlier than last night if that wasn’t the case. The Brentford game, the Liverpool game, the City game are the easiest examples and ones in which we took 0 points from but we could have taken 4/5 points from them all if the refs weren’t so blatantly shite at their job.
