He should've tinkered
He should've tinkered
He scored something like 6 in their last 8 games in the season before that too which kept them up when they looked dead certain to go down.Shock horror Vardy has dwindled into nothing this season. It was obvious last season was a one season wonder.
Don't forget us under Moyes.Maybe there is a thing with winning the league in recent years. Chelsea won it 2 years ago and collapse the following season, same thing happened to Leicester.
Is something up with this. If so Arsenal are the safest team in the league given they're serial top 4 winner and don't have to worry about the league title curse.
Feck there is a patternDon't forget us under Moyes.
Since Fergie retired, the champions have not made into the top 3 in the following season.Maybe there is a thing with winning the league in recent years. Chelsea won it 2 years ago and collapse the following season, same thing happened to Leicester.

City won it in 13/14 and finished 2nd in 14/15.Since Fergie retired, the champions have not made into the top 3 in the following season.
But they will never be able to win the CL and it's very important to avoid relegation. It this awful situation in the PL continues for them then something must happen. Unfortunately the "easiest" way is generally appointing a new manager which hopefully will inject new energy and maybe different tactics. As long as they are still in Champions League, Ranieri should remain manager. It will be interesting to see of they raise their level against Sevilla and if they carry it into the league. They are all mentally and physically spent.

Just shows how good Fergie was.Smooth
But yeah, pretty amazing that no one has managed to defend the title since United between 06-09. I don't think a title holder hasn't even put up much of a fight to defend the title since us in 2012. 2013 was a cakewalk for United and 2015 was a cakewalk for Chelsea.
It's all about maintaining the intensity, which requires astute management alongwith a quality squad. Winning the English league takes mammoth effort. Only Sir Alex has been able to repeat it year after year in modern times.Maybe there is a thing with winning the league in recent years. Honourable mention.No. That Swansea game was the easiest.
It's not just recent timesJust shows how good Fergie was.
And the hunger to keep fighting after winning everything.
I think so!Good thinking Sir. Is that game in 2 weeks?
Honourable mention.

His chance conversion rate is actually better this season than last. Or it was before today at least.Kante is good but he wasn't the only factor in their success last year, Vardy scoring with every shot was equally as important, now he couldn't hit a barn door.
I cant believe this guy actually beat Ruuds record,to give him his dues, he had a great season but I cant help that feel he was also lucky as Ranieri had Leicesters tactics spot on and wasnt outfoxed.Vardy must be pig sick he didnt go to Arsenal and Arsenal must be delighted he didnt
They really failed to capitalise on their champion status in the transfer market. They should have stuck to the same blueprint in terms of style but tried to improve the individual quality IMO.
Defence should have been a priority as Huth and Morgan were always going to get found out eventually.
Not sure how signing Zieler to sit on the bench has really improved them and Slimani didn't fit into their way of playing.
Would love it if they were relegated. I don't care if that's "mean" or anything.
A mix of one of the most ridiculous teams to ever win the league, a vile character like Vardy heading them, and that 5-3 all are good reasons.
Last year was such a freak. The big clubs were all in a crazy state of flux, and they had Kante and a few others playing absolutely incredible once in a career level seasons.
This year, they've all fallen to their actual level.
It shows why you don't buy a player for a big fee based on one good season, as Vardy and Mahrez would have shown.
At least then the champions at least fought for the title in the next season. It's not just recent times
Only one other side has managed to defend in the pl era and that was Chelsea when Roman was the only sugar daddy in town
Sevilla will put an end to that one.
Sevilla will put an end to that one.
Oh don't get me wrong, I was delighted that they stopped our rivals winning itSuch an utter lack of romance. My heart goes out to you, Sandikan. Anyone not moved by that last season must have a heart of stone.
I have a vague memory of Best saying after we won the European Cup in '68 that things changed at old Trafford. He said there was no hunger anymore - they'd done what they needed to do to prove themselves and there was nothing else that could equal it. He said that the atmosphere in the club changed and players started to not care about the next season. Wonder if something similar is happening at Leicester?
They made a deal with the devil...
Sevilla win by 3+ in the home leg. Huge gulf is quality, I'd back Sevilla to have a decent chance of knocking any English side out over two legs, let alone Leicester.I've got money on them to get past Sevilla, genuinely think they have a chance.
Sevilla are the much better side of course and certainly know how to win in Europe, but I think Leicester can progress.
