To be fair, Martinez had one great game all year. He went from injured to struggling for form to playing a brilliant cup final to being injured again for the rest of the year. If it's really about performances in 2014, Martinez shouldn't be in there.

I'd have Lahm high but not that high. Messi should be ahead of him. Also think Suarez should be higher.
This is an odd statement. He hasn't done feck all in a Team that hasn't done feck all year. Lucky to be that high and certainly every single member of the top 20 has archieved more than him this season.

The list is best players 2014. Modric was far better than Fabregas.

Finally a list who rates a defender. Lahm deserved at least one balon dor or europes best footballer in his career.
