Posters spending all their time in one thread means others are less active, its pretty straight forwards.

I can't speak for others who play the game but I think I've been posting in other general threads a similar ammount to I do when the game is not on. At the minute there is only 10 or so people still involved, is that really making that big a difference to the general?

I don't get it Hectic.

Only 27 people post in the thread, how is that harming the General?

The randy nature of the General thread has gone and therefore alot of users who'd normally post half naked pictures of women have buggered off. If its also true that theres a seperate general thread for OAP's then perhaps that could also be partly to blame? You think of all the popular General Threads in the last year and how many of them survived Googlegate. Very few.

I'd be interested to see what the General is like next week when there isn't a game ;)

Don't forget the no. of people posting in that thread decrease by 2 every day. People were complaining about the General before WW started. I don't think the WW game has affected the Generals that much.

Likewise. The game has no bearing on my usual posting activity on the board.

I think it has more to do with the less number of posters up here tbh. Both the generals and the football forum down in the newbies was always buzzing because of the sheer number of posters down there.

The mains needs more people i feel. more posters = more new opinions and things to talk about = more activity. there are many quality posters down there who are more than capable of holding their own here. it'd increase the quantity and quality both and would make this place more active imo.

just my thought. been here just a little while so i guess there are many who'd know better.

Dont think the WW game has much to do with it up here. the newbie general is always a great place to be at, WW or not.

I've never been a big poster anyway, but the game has kept me lurking on the Caf more. Thus more likely to post on the Caf.

 This again.

Who is it from the WW threads that you all miss so much?

Can't you just tell them that you're not happy that they're playing with some new friends?

Saying that though, there's no real reason for it to be on this forum if it pisses people off.

But then you could say that about anything that isn't United related.

Just ban The Good Lord Cider.

Nobody else could be arsed to put on the quality of game that he manages. His GF would also approve of this as she's crying out for cock while he's hunched over his keyboard typing out a journal.

First it was shit posters, then it was all the newbs, then it was all the boobs, now its the games. If theres a problem with the generals, i personally dont believe the games are apart of it.

Well they certainly have an affect, that can't be doubted. In two months the games have amassed over 20,000 posts. The views are in the several hundreds of thousands. It's not about specific posters either, but the simple fact is there would be more activity on the General, if the games weren't as frequent as they are. Reducing the frequency of games shouldn't have a massive effect on posters anyway, and I'd imagine would make the games a little more competitive and interesting.

It's not down to any one factor that the general is suffering, and definitely not just down to this, but certainly many things can contribute to it staying in decline. The werewolf games are a part of that, and if it means that staggering them might bring about more activity in the forum, then why not do that. We can gauge the difference in activity shortly when the next game is postponed for a further date.

Also putting them in a sub-forum is completely missing the point.

if you take away my werewolf games i'm going to have to start posting about cocks again or whatever it was i used to post about. you have a good think about that.

They're making us log off before 10pm now, this won't do redcafe the slightest bit of good.

So everyone whos playing has to log off the caf now?

Yeah, these games don't harm the forum at all

i'm going to make a stand, otherwise where does it end? first they'll take away the werewolf games and next they'll be making us wear clothes when we post. in the absence of mockney i'll be the one to say this. bangerang.

I want to know this perfect General forum the modmins here are aiming for. With all due respect to them and the work they do, I think Niall would be better qualified to answer this question.

There's been relatively few posts in the game thread for the last few days and the General hasn't been any different.

I'll tell you what though, playing these games has helped me develop a respect for and even friendship with my fellow players. We've experienced many things togther and I've learned much about their lives and personalities. I can genuinely say I am enriched from the experience.

Having said that, that JayWalker has always come across as a right cnut and I hope he doesn't get to play anymore.

Huh? Perfect general forum?

And I think I can accurately predict Niall's answer.

"No"

PM him if you don't believe me. He may say it in more words but it will be the answer anyway.

Personally I hadn't posted much in the General for a while anyway, so I doubt the game has kept me away from other threads,

The general has been very shit indeed for some time. I'd say there werewolf games have actually improved it. Not hard to do TBH.

Once again where does the arrogance stem from? Since when do rude old men like you tutor people on same mistakes? Mistakes are talking about the game based on stats and other werewolf forums only my brother. It destroys the game, and you don't get a feel fot it. You make the game all mechanical. You can sit here and laugh at lads like me all you want to get your e-props, but I actually play. When's the last time you even felt the thread of a werewolf game? Even saw what a game plays like up close?

Brownosing the same posters over and over again to gain some kind of props, is pathetic imo. You can't ignore me, you love my style. You only pretend to because I called you out on a comment you made where you had to actually read the the thread to back it up..and I know how much that hurts lads like you. You're a fraud my brother. I can't believe I had sympathy for you at one point.

It looks like there is another one started today and the previous one doesn't look like its even finished yet.

Please stop...:(

How does it affect you?

The only way it possibly effects the rest of redcafe is if people who would otherwise sign up don't want to because the werewolf games are too geeky.

I would like to point out I took exception to these games from day one.

Just put it all in a sub forum so I dont have to look at them any more

 Baz.
I'd rather put you in a sub-forum!
I second that motion.

Oooh, cuts me deep. I have you on ignore but I have to admit there's something about you Jay that makes me keep clicking that 'show post' button. You've got a magnetism about you. You're very entertaining, to be fair. You must look back at some of the things you say and cringe though, constantly.

You earn respect, no? And I don't even think there's such a thing as e-respect, to be honest. Give over, I wasn't the first to take the piss in this thread, far from it. As for your age references...it's baffling. Is it meant to make you feel better or something? Actually I don't even know how it does that. It's one of the most pathetic 'digs' you'll ever come up with, I reckon.

Stop dragging me into the gayness. It was a bit of harmless fun, I didn't think you'd take it to heart. Regardless, criticism's sometimes a good thing. It's meant to stop you from making the same mistakes, you know, improve you. You'll see.
