I agree with that.

Wonder how much he is worth? 5 mill?

For me to spend 7.5m for a player and let him rot in the reserves to then put him part in a deal for another is called a waste. But maybe for you it was a great idea wasnt it?

He's gotten chances (not many, granted) to prove himself, and he's done OK, nowt special.

To be fair to Devilish, I think he's trying to point out that we probably overspent on Diego, which is hard to argue against.
I reckon he should hang around though - he was always meant to be one for the future, and we're not exactly overflowing with strikers...

Me neither, but the BBC Rumour column attributes it to The Star. ;)

Wait i know the one you mean now, i read wrong, i thought you said "its not the one about us", instead of "its not the bit about us".

No, I was too busy swearing at Dudek who had a bigger hand in the game than that useless Sally Gunnell looking cnut.

Diego, whooooah oooohh oooohh
Diego, whooooah oooohh oooohh
He came from Uruguay
And made the Scousers cry

Diego, whooooah oooohh oooohh
Diego, whooooah oooohh oooohh
He came from Uruguay
And made the Scousers cry

I'm not too bothered about potentially making a "loss" on him as his contribution has been well worth it :D

I am bothered about getting rid of someone who was meant to be "potential" and I think we can still develop that.

He has the talent, he needs the coaching and guidance and that we can give. What we cannot "give" is passion, commitment, determination, love for the club...

He has all the elements to be a worthy United player when it comes to character. He also has skill, decent pace, movement, workrate, two-footed, a nice long range shot... He maybe raw but that's what we excel at working on.

Keep him. <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

Thing is, he's 25 odd already isn't he? I think he's the type of player who needs to play a lot of games - a bit part isn't gonna get the most out of him. As such, much as though I think the guy has potential, unless he can fulfil it playing second fiddle to RVN and OGS then he's probably better moving on. I'd be tempted to give him another year though.
