They were awesome
Bands from that style like Collective Soul, Bush. Stone Temple Pilots, Silverchair, Candlebox, etc...
The best of the 90's... Some of them are still alive
Soundgarden
Alice in Chains
Seahorses: shite!
Saying that, I enjoyed a couple of their songs more than Ian Brown, what an overrated, living-off-the-reputation-of-The-Stone-Roses motherfecker he is
quality band, i still listen to them all the timeDire Straits.
Semisonic.
Lightning Seeds.
Incubus.
Ian Brown's solo pisses on ANYTHING Squire done since the Roses!
Wash your mouth out Johnno, you cnut. Some of Ian Brown's solo stuff is class. Golden Greats is a brilliant album
I'm not comparing Brown to Squire, they're both shite since the Roses demise, Seahorses had a decent few singles but were a bit gay.
Brown is wank, a deep voice that's out of tone to feck.
Be honest, do you think people go to his gigs to listen to him do a cover of Billy Jean or to listen to him do Roses classics?
nah Johnno, people go to his shows for his singles!
i think Brown's solo stuff is fecking decent, better than Morrissey's solo stuff in fact (the Morrissey/Marr - Brown/Squire relationships are uncannily similar if you think about it).
it's all about personal taste though at the end of the day, and i can see how some people are put off by Brown's lazy voice.
you can't put the Lips in this list. They are as successful as ever, and certainly not forgotten. They are just between albums. Went to see em on their last tour, great band
Still producing good albums, still cool.![]()
I saw Midge Ure a few weeks ago, still great.
