Forgotten Bands that you think are/were cool

Wash your mouth out Johnno, you cnut. Some of Ian Brown's solo stuff is class. Golden Greats is a brilliant album

The la's
Aerosmith
Electric Soft Pasade
The Kinks (not so much forgotten but undervalued)
Super Furry Animals
Flaming Lips

you can't put the Lips in this list. They are as successful as ever, and certainly not forgotten. They are just between albums. Went to see em on their last tour, great band

Ian Brown's solo pisses on ANYTHING Squire done since the Roses!

I'm not comparing Brown to Squire, they're both shite since the Roses demise, Seahorses had a decent few singles but were a bit gay.
Brown is wank, a deep voice that's out of tone to feck.
Be honest, do you think people go to his gigs to listen to him do a cover of Billy Jean or to listen to him do Roses classics?

You're lying to yourself mate, it's like me, I truly wanted Oasis's albums after Morning Glory to be good but they just weren't and you could tell people that they are but you're lying.
Brown is nothing after the Stone Roses, he can't sing, is out of sync and is an old fart wearing Adidas and copying my hair cut, he should reform the Roses

nah Johnno, people go to his shows for his singles!

i think Brown's solo stuff is fecking decent, better than Morrissey's solo stuff in fact (the Morrissey/Marr - Brown/Squire relationships are uncannily similar if you think about it).

it's all about personal taste though at the end of the day, and i can see how some people are put off by Brown's lazy voice.

"Space aspirations and nuclear stations", shit lyrics.
Ian Brown - lead singer of The Stone Roses, quality frontman, charismatic.
Ian Brown - solo artist, shite songs, bad fashion sense, religious chameleon (pretends to be Muslim one minute, Christian the next).
Sorry mate, he's a Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime.

I take it back then, I suppose they have just slipped below my radar after the initial buzz i had about them a few years back, always wanted to see them live as they are meant to be awesome.

You have inspired me to go listen to them now :D
