Football Betting Thread 2017/2018

In-play over 2.5 goals for Cerezo Osaka v Yokohama F. Marinos. YFM are leading 1-0 at the moment but I reckon they'll concede at least a goal considering Cerezo's attacking prowess at home (judging from last season). Hope to finally get a winner after a couple of awful bets recently

Another L, 13 minutes to go and it's still 0-1. About 2 sitters missed by Cerezo so it's clearly not their day

Good descion that. Was going to wait until Bes-Fener match finished but I thought feck it £100 quid will do.

I'm £675 up tonight. The £75 will cover stake I've put in this weekend and I put the other £600 on Boca Juniors to win to nil. Which I may end up regretting, but feck it, I'm £2k up in the last two weeks.

Cheltenham's only a few weeks away. Does anyone like anything ante post? Samcro and Footpad still look a decent bet for a shortish double. At a bigger price I like Black Corton for the RSA.

In a European last man standing at work, down to the last 2. Really struggling with who to go for this weekend. The leagues are La Liga, Bundesliga, Scottish Prem, Ligue 1, Serie A. So far I've had Bayern, Barca, Napoli, Roma, Inter so can't use any of them.

I'm thinking Real Madrid who are at home to Getafe but that's 3 days before the 2nd leg v PSG so not sure. Unsure about PSG (away at Troyes) for the same reason.

I'm on Black Corton. I assume you've gone with a NRNB bookie?

I have yes. With 365 mainly. Laurina's been my main ante post punt for the Mares novice hurdle. I've been nibbling away at her for months at various prices. She's still available at around 6/5. I don't think Definitely Red is a bad ew price for the big one either. Im sure the name alone is enough to convince a few Utd fans to follow.

On a serious note, things like that sort of name can artificially lower the price and make such horses a bad bet. Not sure about the value there at the moment. Can't wait though!

It can. But in Reds case it will mostly be casual money on the day. If you fancy him then the time to bet is now. He's not going off anywhere near 20/1 on the day I can guarantee that. The favs a worthy one I think. Depending on his price I may take him on the day but if Reds in the pack when they meet the hill not many will relish the climb more than him.

You may well be right. Gonna have a proper look at things over the weekend and get some more money down. Hope all this snow fecks off though!

All over City tonight. I know theyre away tonight but they destroyed Arsenal on sunday, who look absolutely awful at the moment. I'd be very surprised if Arsenal got someting tonight. 8/11 seems a bit generous.

You could be right but this is one I think best to avoid. Arsenal could dig in and produce a result from somewhere as they have a few times this season when it hasn't been expected. Their home form has been good all season too so I think backing City at that price isn't great value.

Four-fold for tonight:

Real Betis-Sociedad under 3.5 goals
Las Palmas-Barcelona over 3.5 goals
Alaves-Levante draw
Arsenal or draw

Everton awful on the road but both teams in poor form and Burnley not been great at home. I'd rather go for under 1.5 goals here at the longer odds of 2.75.

Fair enough, I just think Arsenal are so bad it seems like printing money!! I'm on now, so i'm sure you'll be proven correct!

I'm taking under 1.5 there too. Freezing cold, scrappy, poor conditions for football. Would be sirprised to see a goals flurry.

Arsenal at 4.60 to win at home is crazy though. Still, City is the smart money.

Xhaka to be booked @2.25 ...

Up against city's midfield and front line, with his lazy guys infront of him (ozil mkhi welbeck and aubameyang) I don't see him getting much help.

Cheeky punt on Ramsey too @6.00
