FM 2012 Manager Experiment - Updates

This was actually a cool idea, plus it's easier because you don't really have to give screenshots, which was always the most annoying thing about the player ones.

fecks sake, I'm having a nightmare.

July 2014 - July 2015

Annihilate Now

Current Job: Charlton Manager

At the end of the 2014/15 season after spending it unemployed. Now found himself with two offers at the same time. One from relegated Charlton and one from relegated Barnsley. Either way he would be managing in League One next season with Joe Barry, and he chose Charlton.

Random Fact: The biggest fee he has spent is 550k for defender Frazer Richardson, while at Bristol.

Blayne Keogh (Big-Red)

Current Job: Unemployed

Still unemployed. Apparently he is satisfied with life at the moment. Doesn't seem to take much.

Daniel Leverton (Levo)

Current Job: England Under 20s Manager

Surely he's going for the England manager job? Still coaching the Under 20s, played a few friendlys but nothing much else to report.

Dr Evil

Current Job: KVC Westerlo

I can now see how he's getting on there so will follow his progress from the 2015 season onwards. They're in the main division though so I think he got them promoted.

Ironic Pseudonym (AVARiCE)

Current Job: Cyprus Manager

Still Cyprus manager. Played 15 games, won 6, drawn 3, lost 6.

Joe Barry (WR)

Current Job: Peterborough Manager

So after being sacked as Ipswich manager, Barry was unemployed for a while, until in October when Gareth Southgate was sacked as Peterborough manager, despite them only being in 11th place. They hired Joe Barry as their new manager. He didn't do too well though, and they finished in 17th place. However Posh were happy with him and he was given a new contract in July 2015 lasting til 2017.

Random Fact: The highest fee he has paid for a player is £1M. For Robbie Brady from Bristol to Ipswich.

Karan Mittal

Current Job: Unemployed

Poor guy. Hopefully he gets recognized as a good manager soon. Living in India doesn't seem to have helped him.

Kris Djemba-Djemba (Burrow)

Current Job: Norway Under 21s

He loves this job. Been in it for over 1400 days, and has managed them for 35 games. Winning 15 and losing 15.

Niall Swan (cold-zebra)

Current Job: Unemployed

Such a cold, lonely zebra.

Nick Reusch (Flying Fox)

Current Job: Australia Manager

The Australia manager seems to be going up in the world. His reputation is now Continental, the best out of all the managers right now. He has managed them for 19 games, losing most of them though.

Omar Dalvi

Current Job: Kuwait Under 23s

That's right, for some reason Omar went back to his old job in January 2015, managing the Under 23s again.

Shinji Cinawa (Cina)

Current Job: Ireland Manager

Still Ireland manager and doing very well. He is undefeated after 11 games. He has made John O'Shea his captain.

Loving the frequency of the updates Sol, cheers.

Every time I see that it says anything to do with Cyprus I brace myself for the inevitable "didn't win a single game this season". It's awesome because it makes me delightfully shocked at my ability to balance losses with wins.

Satisfied with being unemployed?? I got those stats too right.

Peterborough... could be worse. I'll get my break into the Premiership soon. Signed an ex-United player too.

Thanks Sol.

Looks like Omarlogic works in the game too, thanks for the update Sol.

I may start this again. Some of the managers are still nowhere near getting jobs. I might just edit it so you all have a bit better reputation to start with.

Can't you use an editor to change their nationality or increase their reputation in your current game in order to raise the chances?

I am ever so grateful Solius.

AN is a twat

Yeah, change the nationalities. I think that'll work.

If you decide to restart I suggest that you give all of us an English nationality (possibly as a second nationality). I hope that this will save you the need to load additional leagues.

Yeah I started it again last night and was going to do an update but fell asleep. However again only Joe Barry and AN got jobs. Think they're the only two who set their nation to England.

Surely I have the best stats then, suckers

EDIT: ah feck, you restarted it.

FWIW, I'm happy with how I was set up before. I think you'll only have to improve those who were unemployed. Sol, try skipping about five years in the game and see if they get jobs. If they haven't by that point then yeah, something needs fixing.

No, don't.

Just make us managers with international caps and put our reputation to around 5k.

5k?

I checked Fergie's and it was 185. So I made everyone's 90.

Yeah I got to 2014 last year and 9 of you still had no jobs. I will make some tweaks and hopefully get it restarted later.

Have a look at who's got a reputation of 90 in the DB right now so we know if it's adequate or not. It'd probably break my heart to see my second Cyprus career restarted.

Sam Allardyce has 105. Neil Warnock had 60.

Haha so those of us who got NT jobs were literally as well thought of as the average bloke at the pub.

This should be much better on reboot, although I hope it doesn't ruin national team careers. I imagine Cina, Fox and I had the largest reputations because of our international credentials.

Actually, that's quite interesting. Would it be possible for you to just let us know what our reps were from that last update? If not, don't worry.

I may set those in smaller countries to have a higher world rep, what do you reckon?

Dammit Sol, I thought this was the update. I think that sounds fair, yeah. That said, it seems the smaller countries were ok (Kuwait, Cyprus, Norway), it was the countries with smaller footballing interest which struggled.
