What should we do transferwise?

  • Allow a fixed maximum number of transfers each summer

  • Let in-game managers make transfer each summer

  • Stick with original squad

I'm pretty much the United of this experiment so I expect to do things the hard way!
 
When you have a free moment Macern could I possibly have a screenshot of my club and my fixture list.
I don't know what my team looks like now, but in the last update I was top scorers with the least amount of goals conceded, but I didn't really have a dominant goal scorer so I'm curious where my goals are coming from.

CUP FINAL LEG 1
Cocaine Snorters (anant) vs Pupper Snuffers (Red-Man-Walking)​
I messed up the initial recording so I had to go back and watch the highlights over again. Only issue with this is that the score is displayed in the top left corner. I don't have any video editing programs and I'm too lazy to put a lot of effort into this issue so I put it in Windows Movie Maker and added some kind of zoom effect so that the score is only visible at the end of the game. Looks hilariously unprofessional but it'll have to do for this game. Also, cup finals are played over two legs for some reason. Made an error when setting up the database but it's too late to fix now.

Miranda Revelation vs RedCafe Rogues

Miranda Rev (MJJ/RedSky) vs RedCafe Rogues (Igor Drefljak). 36/38 league games played. Miranda Rev are currently second with 65 points, while Rogues are first with 70 points. The "Blue Donkeys" need to win this game and their final game, while at the same time "The Rogue Agents" must lose this game and their final game in order for Miranda Rev to win the league. Any other outcome and RedCafe Rogues have won the league.

I guess my attack finally learned that they need to get the ball into the net - my defence already was pretty much impecable. Neuer tops the cleansheet list (edit - not anymore)

Am not able to watch the Cup final video.:mad: Any tips as to how to troubleshoot the problem?
 
Dang, I didn't make it into the top 10. Oh well, at least Lucho had us playing better football and got us to finish above AC Calciopoli, at least. I hope that Lucho makes the right moves in the summer.

Also, you've done a great job so far @Macern. Thanks for the great work!

@Macern can you sack Jorge Jesus for me? Wasn't impressed with his short tenure at the club after taking over from Klopp. I feel i have better players then are being shown under his management.

Also, is it easier to just do updates at the end of every season? Can just write up alot of what happened for each team, like their cup runs and transfers in/out. Then do a few screenshots of the stats and stuff as per normal?

I quite enjoy the mid season updates though. Can see if you've progressed or not from how you was doing at the mid way point.
 
Yeah but i would rather sacrifice that for more seasons. No point doing the experiment over 3/4 seasons, specially for the likes of @Damien whose team wont be ready for 4/5 years.

Feck the mid season updates and videos, too much effort. Just post the league table after every season for 20 years.
 
Come on, guys, we (primarily Macern) put too much effort in it already to settle for a league table for 20 seasons.
Slow and steady, and pray that @Macern will keep up with the enthusiasm

Yeah 100% that drafting process doesn't warrant a league table every season.

I'm happy with the slower pace if it means lots of info; squad updates, preferred XI, cup finals etc. All add to it for me.

In fact @Macern don't suppose anyone has thrown a paddy and got themselves transfer listed yet have they?
 
Was too busy with ww yesterday and I've got work all day today so won't post the 3rd one until tomorrow
