Flintoff...

But why? I don't get it. The lad's a class act. And a great bloke to boot. I can't seen any reason why anyone would dislike him or be bitter towards him.

He is, fine player. Best all rounder in the world today, but that doesnt say alot, considering the state of cricket in the last two years. IMO hes a fine player.. but very overrated. Alot of it has to do with England being so poor for so long and then finally putting it together with this very good team.
I believe, hes a decent batsman, and a good bowler. A looong way before hes counted amongst the greats.

Dunno whats up with you people, your all manchester united supporters, we all discuss, debate and critize our players, but when someone says something about Flintoff you lot lose it. Calm down, people have a difference of opinion. Its defenately not jelousy..lol..

Interesting how slabber and spoony begun their asian hatred bit and noone noticed, whereas i mention flintoff as overrated and you all go crazy.

We've not really classed him as an all time great. I do think he'll be regarded better than Botham......and I did say something similar a couple of years ago, when he was still learning his trade. But you can't deny the fact he's a quality player. That's all we're doing. He's probably the reason why England won the Ashes. And teams don't come better than Australia do they. So yeah he's a fecking top drawer player.

They're winding you up.

I'm debating with you.

Not really working, bit sad though.

Not worth debating, some people build him up as a god, whereas hes just a good player, alot of them have come and gone and not really carried it on. Maybe Flintoff will, maybe he wont. But hes got a long road if he wants to be counted amongst the greats.

Amol; Slabber and Spooney are having a laarf, their on here for a good time...When you read their serious posts you realise just how balanced their posts are...Need to read their posts in the currents to realise this, amongst the best on the caf...

I noticed from one of Amol's (actually it could have been one of the other Indian lads) posts using his career averages as a basis to slag him. Conveniantly ignoring his output in the last couple of years...

Flitnoff's been best all rounder in past 2 years or so, hard to argue really, I considered Cairns amd kallis better than him, both havent done much recently, also kallis bowling is getting poorer.

:boring:
this is still going on??
MR, if we take the best years of Sachins career his averages would be incredible. He scored his first ODI hundred very late(after 70 odd tests). Ganguly once averaged in the 50s in test cricket and at one point was taking wickets for fun as well. This wasnt the point of this thread , we all agree hes a fantastic player, some think higher of him and some lower. Thats natural.

This thread is about the accusations, lets wait for further developements.

He has imporved a lot in the last couple of seasons. But makng superlative comparisions with Botham is daft.

I remember when Ganguly averaged in the 50s, we weren't involved in international cricket then and adopted him as the Bengali representative. Was superb to watch in those days too.

Anyway those stats aren't relevant now because they were years ago, while Flintoff's are.

And yes, this thread is becoming a bit silly now.
